Mario Super Sluggers multiplayer video (Wii)
The Mario mascots return to sporting fun with Super Mario Sluggers, the Mario-spin on America’s favorite pasttime, baseball!
Developed by Namco Bandai and published by Nintendo, Super Mario Sluggers has a release date of August 25th and is the sequel to one of the later GameCube games that a lot of players probably missed, Mario Superstar Baseball.
The game plays very similar to that game, but with the inclusion of gesture controls using the Wii Remote, which will have you batting and pitching just like in Wii Sports. You can also use just the Wii Remote, the Wii Remote & Nunchuck or the just the Wii Remote held sidewise. Modes include Exhibition (choose your team & how many innings), Challenge (Create a team to battle other teams as well as face puzzles), Toy Mode (Try to hit baseballs to point spaces set around the field, other players try to catch the ball), and Practice Mode.
The game features up to four-players locally (no online play) and has an astounding 40_ playable characters to choose from (give them all a look in our Super Mario Sluggers characters list! All from the Mario universe. The game also features unique special powers, items, moves and features to enhance the game of baseball to a whole new level. Even the stadiums are full of obstacles!
