July’s American video game sales data from the NPD is in, and like almost any month past year, it shows an unchanged result: A Nintendo system on top, this time the DS Lite outsold all other systems. The suprise comeback was NCAA Football 09 leading Xbox 360 sales last month. Compared to the same month last year total industry sales were up 28%. Compared to the same month last year total software sales were up 41%, to over $591.1 million.
