Pre-order Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe for Xbox 360The way these characters are put together in the story mode is rather simple. Depending on which side players choose (Mortal Kombat or DC Universe), they will see the characters from the opposite universe as the invaders of their own universe. This leads to unlikely alliances being forged on each side, but does this blind rage stop them from seeing the dark threat that merged the two universes and is set to destroy them all?

Characters that are normally super powerful have been toned down to make them balanced within the game, for example: Superman no longer as invulnerable as he usually is, so he can be hurt by Scorpion’s spear. This further expresses itself during fights, where characters will show permanent signs of damage like: bruises, blood marks, and broken or torn clothing pieces.

Creator Ed Boon gives a gameplay demonstration:

* Watch the John Tobias MK vs. DC comic book video to see a panel with all 4 rumored characters in it as he talks about “seeing all of the [game] characters represented in some way in the book.” It’s possible these characters will be the by the game’s creators previously mentioned downloadable content.

This list gets updated as more characters are confirmed. Last updated November 3.

So is that the only characters they will use??

No there will be more characters announced in the next three months. That’s why I wrote in the first sentence that out of the complete roster “only 14 characters have been revealed”.

As far as characters… I always thought they should include Plastic Man in this title… He would add some interesting mechanics to the MK universe. Honestly though, with GL and The Joker already announced, I really don’t care who else they add… any word on which Green Lantern it will be?

I think they should include Black Canary in the roster cus she could really turn out to be a cool playable character. Like a replacement for sindel (with the banshee scream n all)

I’d love to see Raiden and Reptile from the Mortal Kombat side make the cut. Raiden would realisticly have a good fight with Superman. I’d also like to see Wonderwoman and the Martian Manhunter from the DC side of things. Only because DC only has one female at the moment and Martian Manhunter would be a good fight with Reptile. I like the lineup so far anyway, so will be a good treat to see who else they add in.

I, for one, would love to see Lobo. I think he’d be a good addition for the DC villain side. I’d also love to see Harley Quinn, but since there’s already two Batman villains I doubt that’ll happen.

i want vixen and those animal pics could be talking about her

i say they have to have either kyle reyner or hal jordan as green lantern but i would like to see zitana to add another female to the dc roster. Im expecting ermac to be on it as he is my fav MK character they cant miss him out x

I think the roster is fine but my real question is the fatalities that the DC characters will have.Im really hoping that they will have actual fatalities instead of the Krappy Kreate your own fatality,if this game doesn’t have real fatalities like the previous games then MK will not be the same….

As for MK Kharakter, I want Ermac, Reptile, Raiden, and Quan Chi. Though I’m pretty sure Quan won’t be in. Ermac is questionable as well. I wish they didn’t put in Jax. I think that’s a wasted spot with such a smal roster.

For DC Kharakter, The ones I hope get added are Deathstroke, Lobo, and I would hope they are smart enough to use Darksied as the final boss. Other DC characters I wish were in and I know won’t be are The Spectre, Black Adam, Doomsday, Bane, and Sinestro.

Truthfully, I’m really hyped for this game. But I am very disappointed in it because of the roster size. It really should be at least 32, but preferably 40 Kharakters deep to pay proper respect and homage to both franchises, and their respective fans. With 16-20 from each side, you know you’re gonna have all the popular, and even some cult classic character from each side. Either way, as a Comic book fan (tho, I’m a Marvel fan, not DC), and as an old scholl MK fan since day 1, MK vs. DC is a day 1 purchase for me.
