Viva Pinata 2: Believe video parodies the epic Halo 3 ad
There’s a new ad for Viva Pinata 2: Trouble in Paradise that parodies the infamous Halo 3 diorama “Believe” commercial from last September.
The Halo 3 Diorama Ad was a true work of art, featuring moving music as the camera banned around a set-piece that featured the Covenant War while showcasing the humanity of it all by focusing on the sad and tragic faces of those actually involved in the battle. It was enough to move a gamer to tears and really showcase the power of interactive entertainment to match that of movies, by getting the viewer emotionally attached to what it was showing.
The ad was only one of many though featuring the campaign slogan “Believe” . . . And now you will believe that Pinatas can also move you to tears. Er, ahem. Feast your eyes below.
Viva Pinata 2: Trouble in Paradise is the latest game in the Viva Pinata franchise from developer Rare, following Viva Pinata 1 and the recent Viva Pinata: Party Animals which comes out for Xbox 360 tomorrow. There is also an upcoming version for Nintendo DS called Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise which is the first portable game in the series and releases on September 8th.
Update August 15th: Rare have continued their Halo 3 parodies with a spoof on Halo 3′s Museum ad. Take a look at the Viva Pinata version.
Here’s the original Halo 3 museum ad as well.
