Square Enix’s DKS3713 event was held this weekend in Japan. The company announced the PlayStation 3 will be receiving the first Final Fantasy XIII Demo in the form of a bonus on the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete Blu-ray disc, which is set for release in Japan in March 2009.
1UP reports that it’s possible a downloadable version of the Final Fantasy XIII Demo could come to Xbox 360 around the same time, but Square hasn’t said anything at this time — let alone outside of Japan — and that seems unlikely given comments that Square will be finishing the PS3 version completely before they even begin porting the RPG to the Xbox 360.
God this is so stupid. We’ve been waiting so long and barely nothing. I don’t understand how a company can stay in business while the prolong their major releases. Obviously the heart of the FF series will never be the same considering there are very few “original” disigners of the game left. As it’s said the torch has been handed down. Will the game meet expectations? Now that’s the question! I certainly hope so. Infact, I am personally such a fan I won’t be buying anymore games until it’s release, which is sad, since it won’t be for a while. I’ve played all installments of the game, even the MMOrpg. The FF series brings a uniquely created world everytime. I find myself lost deep inside the meaning of these worlds. It’s just really distrubing that you wouldn’t see Square-Enix drop more details in any capacity knowing that the only reason they exist is because of faithful followers who have made this Japanese co. thrive…
