Street Fighter 5 would be the next big step says Street Fighter 4 producer

Street Fighter 4 producer Yoshinori Ono had something to say about Street Fighter 5 in Capcom’s future. To quote:

“It’s really early to be thinking about that because IV just came out in the arcades. I don’t really think anyone at Capcom is thinking about V just yet. What we might see happen, depending on feedback from the arcade and what players think of this version of IV, we may or may not see upgrades to IV before we ever take the next big step to V. It’s really is just too early to tell, to be honest.”

MTV adds that traditionally the gap between Street Fighter games is large. But Yoshinori Ono isn’t sure if that will be the case here between Street Fighter 4 and 5 as well.

your stupid. sf 4 is set after 3. thats why they say gouken awoke after so many years of being knocked out in the beginning of his story. cause thats bs about the shin shoryuken. they put it in the game to make ryu even more badass than he is.

Don’t be calling anyone stupid, especially when you are the one who looks foolish. Vango is right, SF IV is set before SF 3. Its a prequel dipstick…check your facts, before you go calling people stupid.

I think they should go back to the parry system and stick with more fluid 2D sprites like 3rd Strike. I like 4, but obviously, 3rd Strike is where home is.

IMO, SF4 is great. But 4-9 months by now its gonna be played out. capcom vs marvel is coming out, tekken 6 is coming out, and mortal combat is coming out with some highly expected sequels. im a personal fan of SF. SF4 is really good, but i’d like to see
1. Create your own fighter mode
2. tournament mode (just select multiple fighters and have a tournament)
3. more fighters. evil ken/ryu and shin akuma would be a dope unlock able
4. new fighting stages, that fits the fighters, and has interactive objects that break, or something
5. add more moves/supers. that way more strategy can be incorporated and less shoto scrubs
6. attire, it’d be nice to see ken and ryu in something different, and chun li with some bikini

Well as I see street fighter 4 is good game but when it comes to street fighter 3 strike, it’s nothing, 2-d is better for street fighter, parry system, and it doesn’t get old in a few hours neither. I feel that for street fighter 5 we need to take it back to 2-d, better music then 3rd strike even though 3rd strike had some good music just make it better. Some new characters, new story line for everyone, create your fighter is a good mode, add in evil versions of ken, ryu, and akuma. A new environment for every character which basically is their stages, new costumes for everyone which shows they have a different opinon about their old costumes which they make better, and everyone has a scene with each other, other then one person have conflict with another one, and make it an online game and the gamer fans will love you for this because I wish I can take 3rd strike online and just battle everyone I would do it for hours and hours. and get back to the future where this takes place after 3rd strike, I hope my suggestion reaches Mr. Yoshinori Ono

This might sound crazy but here goes. I thoguht sf couldve been made like “rival schools”. Rival schools is and was a great game. Think about it, all the combos tht was n sf vs snk and the alpha series.
Capcom really pissed me of. Sf4 jus left out ken without n e real rivals. Kens rival was always “ryu”. Capcom really messed up ken’s story line. Its likes he’s jus a thrown n character.
If n e thing Capcom should make another “rival schools”

They should really add more storylines.
Like really in depth and personal. for instance I know many people dont like Ryu but atleast have the main guy fall in love with Chun-Li or something.

they should make sure they add more characters in the street fighter 5 from the alpha series, and most importantly bring gotetsu back that would be sick
