Street Fighter 5 would be the next big step says Street Fighter 4 producer

Street Fighter 4 producer Yoshinori Ono had something to say about Street Fighter 5 in Capcom’s future. To quote:

“It’s really early to be thinking about that because IV just came out in the arcades. I don’t really think anyone at Capcom is thinking about V just yet. What we might see happen, depending on feedback from the arcade and what players think of this version of IV, we may or may not see upgrades to IV before we ever take the next big step to V. It’s really is just too early to tell, to be honest.”

MTV adds that traditionally the gap between Street Fighter games is large. But Yoshinori Ono isn’t sure if that will be the case here between Street Fighter 4 and 5 as well.

There’s really no need for SFV yet.
Both the graphics of SFIV and its fighting system (gauges, supers, ultras, blocks, etc…) are great and don’t need to be changed.

They just need to add many many stages (and make them character- related), a couple of special moves here and there, more interesting endings and storylines (I don’t care if they overlap SF4’s like it happened before, SF4 endings are nice, with the anime look, but not interesting at all storyline-wise).

And of course… many more characters from SSF2X, SFAlpha3”, SF3: 3rd and SF1 (NOT from the EX series, those are both out of canon and not exclusively licensed by CAPCOM).

So, keep the SFIV’s coming.

I believe in SF Future, there should be more character selection. At least one more ultra special, and put a tough boss to beat. Like Gill in SF3impact.
Yes have more stages, and please change ryu appearance. For both Ryu and Ken, they seem pretty slow to me and akuma, is not as fast as he should be. If you notice Cammy and Fie long how they move fast.

I really enjoy the new street figther but, I think it would be better if you added more stages and make those stages match the characters. I would also add new special characters like dudley, allen from SF EX, Kari and also his sister. Please add evil Ryu and Shin Akuma you also should give Goken the ability to switch styles like Gen to show that he is the master of fist. He should have Ryu and Kens style and Akuma along with the new style he shows Ryu on his ending.

I think they should put every street fighter character on S.F V cause real fans want to see that. I really want most of the EX characters to be on there such as: ALLEN, KAIRI, HAYATE, NANASE, SHADOWGEIST, V.ROSSE, DARK, PULLUM, HOKUTO, BLAIRE, SHARON, & AREA. 3: SEAN, IBUKI, YUN, ELENA, YANG, REMY, MAKOTO, DUDLEY, & GILL

I think Ryu needs to have a beard in SF 5.

I think it kind of sucks that each character has only 1 normal super. It would give the game more depth if some of the characters had two or three normal supers to mix things up, besides the Ultra super. I’m disappointed that for so many characters, the normal and Ultra supers are basically the same thing. Where is the element of strategy there? Street Fighter is supposed to be a chess match.

I also agree that there needs to be more characters. It’s cool that SF 4 introduced 4 new characters, a new boss, and the long awaited appearance of Gouken, but the game would have so much more depth to it if all the other street fighter greats were able to fight here, from super turbo, alpha, SF3, and so on.

WHAT I REALLY WANT TO KNOW IS, WHEN IS CAPCOM VS. SNK 3 GOING TO BE MADE??? SAME ENGINE, SAME STYLE, BETTER GRAPHICS!!!!!!!

yeah but alot of people wouldnt like the whole LETS ALL HAVE EVERY CHARACTER tbh i like SF4 the way it is simple and effective rather then 60 odd chars you have to learn and imagine trying to complete arcade with all of them..Effort..plus the games do have a timeline hence characters like hugo and dudley not being in SF4 as its set before SF3

One example being that at some point gouken must show ryu the Shin Shoryuken before SF3 as its one of his supers

This isn’t Marvel vs. Capcom, that involved merging of different characters.

It’s Street Fighter, therefore street fighter characters only.

No offense and all, but adding external characters might kill the nostalgia of the game altogether.

Street fighter has gotten way to far into the Teir-ish style of fighting. Who wants teirs besides people that play the game in order to dominate with a few great characters???? I want an even playing ground. of course some are faster, because their smaller, and the bigger people are slower but have more reach. I mean come on! Where are my multiples of supers?!?!? Where’s the unlockable characters like evil ryu, SHIN AKUMA, what about an evil ken. Street fighter alpha 3 had it all. No parries or bs just straight up street whoopin and even an experience and extra add on mode! I’ve said this for YEARS. Any TRUE fight game lover wants to build their character up, but just not to a redicliously god like state. Just options and varience that give the game a twiek and replay value!

Many of these opinions are true… more stages, better characters if roster is small, more characters, 3 supers but still only 1 ultra, but i would like to see longer combos, new finishers, maybe new special moves, EX combos, and if possibles create your own sf character. A cool unlockable could be sf 3 3rd strike for us technical players this is alot to ask so maybe it could fit on a blue ray disk… i just want to see same characters different attire, different moves, better graphics… SFIV still kicks ass

Street Fighter 4 kicks a** but me & many of my friends hated RYU’s design, Ken’s head is too big plus Ryu & Ken Have these huge feet, Cammy’s face is not pretty at all, Blanka & E-hona have the same nose etc.we love how Chun Li, Fei long & other characters look like but would love to see more stages that are character’s related plus many more characters.wish if guys recreate ryu’s look & put it in playstation store in add-ons for free where by downloading it simply replaces the original Ryu that we gamers are playing with now.again we love Street Fighter 4.So Thnx
