Guitar Hero 5 and Call of Duty 6 releases planned for 2009

Sequels — Guitar Hero 5 and Call of Duty 6 — of Activision’s popular series are planned for release in 2009. This after the next sequels Guitar Hero 4: World Tour and Call of Duty 5: World at War will be released on October 27th and in November 2008, respectively.

Activision Publishing CEO Mike Griffith announced that the publisher’s 2009 lineup will include “multiple new Guitar Hero SKUs [and] an all new Call of Duty [due to our] leapfrog studio strategy.”

This “leapfrog studio strategy” refers to the company’s practice of rotating development responsibilities. Series creator Infinity Ward has lead Call of Duty 1 (2003), Call of Duty 2 (2005) and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007), while Treyarch has produced Call of Duty: United Offensive (2004), Call of Duty 2: Big Red One (2005), Call of Duty 3 (2006) and the upcoming Call of Duty 5: World at War.

guitar hero needs and all acoustic like jack Johnson jousha radin rob pattinson and john Mayer and Jackson Browne and the Eagles have tons of acoustic sets!! I would pay money for that!!!

All KoRn edition is needed. Little Deftones,sevendust,PM5K. These other bands are good. To obscure for mass maket. Sorry but Megadeth ain’t s**t. Rode the coattails of Ironmaiden,Motorhead and Metallica.

OK, so where’s the love for Nickelback, Disturbed, Godsmack, 3 doors down, breaking benjamin… with some Trapt, Soil, Local H, more Chili Peppers and the such. I think those would be some great and fun ones to play. especially some of the bass in RHCP

Nickelback - stuff Nickelback.
They slagged off GH4 saying that these games were crap and making life harder for real bands like them. Chad says that people should form real bands and play real instruments and how band rhythm games were.
That way we can all sell our songs to UK sofa shops for their adverts to marvel for their movies.
Oh and sell a song to a karaoke game cos that’s different isn’t it.
