The Bourne Conspiracy 2: Treadstone was an online multiplayer game in development at Radical
Vivendi-owned developer Radical Entertainment (of Hulk & Scarface fame) — now part of Activision Blizzard and will be kept but downsized — has already been developing a new Robert Ludlum-based Bourne game called Treadstone. It’s a multi-player online game set in the world of the spy agency that trained Bourne. While production has now stopped, a new publisher could possibly revive it.
Luckily for fans of The Bourne Conspiracy, the Ludlum estate is definitely looking to do a new long-term deal to make more Bourne games. To quote Jeff Weiner, CEO of Ludlum Entertainment: “Videogames are capital intensive and time intensive to develop. We don’t want to do one-offs,” he said during a Variety interview.
