Pre-Order Fable II for Xbox 360Fable 3, Fable 4 and Fable 5 are all planned through 2017 after Fable 2 says Peter Molyneux, the game’s developer and creator of Dungeon Keeper, Black & White, Populous, Theme Park and The Movies.

According to his interview with GameTrailers, he says that Fable has a very big story arc that they plan to continue after the release of Fable II, which took three years to make. He says that if you play Fable II, you’ll recognize things from Fable 1, and that’s something they will continue to do with the sequels.

If you apply the same three years it took to make Fable II to it’s sequels, then you can expect to see Fable 3 around 2011, Fable 4 around 2014 and Fable 5 around 2017.

And Fable isn’t all Peter has been up to. He also says that Lionhead is working on a secret project that was “kind of the result of an experiment that went incredibly well.” He states that he personally likes to work on projects that challenge him and made references to the sports genre.

Ok, so If some Fale producer or someone reads this. I really enjoyed fable 2. Look, keep the same concepts as fable 1 but keep the armours and the modern clothing it was cool, also i know how it must be hard to keep promises like “everything you do will affect you later on”. I was happy with fable 2. In future (haha) fable 3 should be greatly extended and make it that you can choose a pet at the beginning instead of just a dog OR choose your background story (like in Mass effect). But overall i enjoyed fable 2 so thanks alot Peter and lionhead, keep up the good work

thats great but the fable twos world felt a little to small and kiddish

I don’t think the Fable 2 was small and kiddish. It was big, great and exciting. But um… could you guys bump up the graphics. Because if you compare to another rpg like Oblivion, they fail big time. Also, I found it frustrating when I’m trying to stick the sword into the guy that’s on the ground, but it won’t.

Also, fighting trolls is a pain in the arse. Could you make combat just all ’round better than Fable 2. Because when I start to lose, I get really mad.

Oh, and another thing (not saying Fable 2 is bad) could you make multiple story lines. Well maybe not multiple… but different endings/storylines/quests if you’re good or evil. That would be quite awesome.

But, yeah. Great job with Fable 2. The story is addicting, especially when I got to the spire. Now I just gotta free the Hero of Will.

Good luck with Fable 2, guys.

figures a 4 year old who hate games where u can actualy die or fail would think fable 2 was big and had a good story line… FFS all you did was folow a golden trail and if u died u jsut came back to life with the smallest penelaty wich i reversed with a potion ….. this game lacks bosses its lacks problem solving…. it lacks a real story line …. its not satisfying to play 14 hours and end up jsut pressing y button to beat the last boss like f*ck u dont even have to click any thing cuz if u dont reaver kills him for you its f*cking stupid

From the first Fable to Fable 2, the second game was overall a huge dissapointment, leave it to peter to hype things up to no return. They had a shitload of interesting backstory on their site, and the game didn’t even elaborate on any of what happened in the first game or in the backstory. There were books ABOUT old stuff, but you couldn’t read them. It wasn’t interesting, the magic system was horrible, i like fast action, i don’t want to have to charge my spell for 10 seconds to get to it’s top damage, if i up the magic, it should be significant with a short blast. Guns were an ok mix, but there was no reason to remove the longbow OR armor! Armor and plate armor is the shit! They basically took out everything that made Fable.. well.. Fable! except for “choice” which has little significance since you always come to the same ending anyway. Fable 2 = epic fail…

i agree fable 2 sucked compared to the first game, and it has no replay value since your guy always ends up the same. the only thing i did like was the dog.

haha ima female gamer . i LOVED the option in fable 2 , to be able to be a girl . i think the game would be cool , if you could do the main quest evil , because in fable 1 / 2 your evil doing good quests ?!?! i really liked fable 2 . i honestly think no armour is a good idea and the dog was a good idea , maybe more variety of pets (balverine) that would be soo awesome lol . and also i think if your evil your dog should e a skeleton or something like that . and dialog options , and fable 1 and 2 have the same spells ? add some different ones

I hope one of the games they have planned is set a few hundred years before the first game in the Old Kingdom. That would be awesome..and the selection of spells and weapons should expand some more. Also, how about bringing back armor?

I wouldsimply like to offer some comparisons: In fable1 you learn your controlls through a guild which is offered as guild training to become a hero. In f2 you wander through a long lost cave which leads to the guild. ok but after that: In f1 you- Have armor, cooler and more original legendary weapons, take down a legendary bandit king, face off with a fellow hero (throughout the story), Take down yet another legendary hero(thunder), find that both your sister and mother are alive and are both intertwined with the story perfectly, enter a magnificent arena tourney, get imprisoned a escape, face off with a the fabled jack of blades, go to the northern wastes and reactivate a long abandoned gate which ultimately leads to a final showdown with a very impressive dragon!
Fable2, however, seemed a bit too concerned with add ons like holding down a job of whatever sort and a dog. There’s no armor at all, not evern leathers or chainmail which was still in use at those times of muskets and swords. The game as a whole seems to offer a feel of “looking back” as you wander and recognize certain old landmarks. The magic system was neat but the story, I felt, lacked in plot point strength. What I mean is that as a whole it was cool, but, The to getting to each point was a bit lackluster. In the end you return from the grave (unopposed) and face off with your nemesis who not onle takes 1 hit but offers no danger and will be killed by Reaver if you wait long enough. Can anyone else see the difference in game strength? I appologize for being so long winded and I am most impressed with anyone who has made it the full way through.
