Pre-Order Fable II for Xbox 360Fable 3, Fable 4 and Fable 5 are all planned through 2017 after Fable 2 says Peter Molyneux, the game’s developer and creator of Dungeon Keeper, Black & White, Populous, Theme Park and The Movies.

According to his interview with GameTrailers, he says that Fable has a very big story arc that they plan to continue after the release of Fable II, which took three years to make. He says that if you play Fable II, you’ll recognize things from Fable 1, and that’s something they will continue to do with the sequels.

If you apply the same three years it took to make Fable II to it’s sequels, then you can expect to see Fable 3 around 2011, Fable 4 around 2014 and Fable 5 around 2017.

And Fable isn’t all Peter has been up to. He also says that Lionhead is working on a secret project that was “kind of the result of an experiment that went incredibly well.” He states that he personally likes to work on projects that challenge him and made references to the sports genre.

THE GIRL IN FABLE 2 STILL LOOKED LIKE A BOY, ONE DIMENSIONAL GAME PLAY, AND A LINEAR STORY LINE ARE ENOUGH FOR ME TO CALL FABLE 2 AN UTTER FAILURE.

ALSO…..WHAT HAPPENED TO ARMOR? LIKE I WANNA WALK AROUND IN A SUIT???

Fable 1 was their first attempt at creating an emotional gaming experience and i found that the cut scenes while not as impressive as the detailed ones in fable 2 there were more of them in the orriginal Fable and that for me allowed myself to become more emotionally involved and immersed with the story. Fable 2 broke ground with the family system and having jobs. I must say i enjoyed the Fable one idea of the guild training and the game seemed longer than Fable 2 (in the terms of the main quest).

I also was disappointed with the Fable 2 ending but it does make sense. Lucien wasn’t a god like fiend as Jack of Blades was. He was a broken man that somewhere along the lines lost his reason or humanity and truly believed he was making a better world. With the reintroduction of Jack at the end of Fable 2 (when you choose bringing back your loved ones your sister rose sends you a letter mentioning “a red hooded figure who knows a lot about our bloodline”) Obviously being Jack of Blades. It is evident we will have that boss battle were hanging out for in a future game in the series or updates.

Now Fable 2 was a great game and those knocking it aren’t seeing the value in what they have created. Its a game system where you can be a hero whilst having children and interacting with all characters in the game. All fable 2 was lacking was a larger main quest line possibly a few more of those cut scenes along the quest line to accompany them.

Fable 1′s strength was its story telling, the guild emphases, The bloodline duty of guarding the sword of aeons and the existence of other heroes posing as formidable boss battles (twinblade, Thunder, Jack of Blades). I only wish for the presence of other heroes emerging from the re-established heroes guild under the Fable 2 character’s ruling of Albion, And although the books and locations give reminders to fable one id like more of a concrete connection, you know? to be able to feel as though you understand the way the Albion world is moving. Thats just my hopes for the future games and add-ons.

Btw guys, enough about not having armor in the game people! yes i miss it too but.. its a new time in the Albion world and personally id rather not be wearing metal when someone is trying to pick me off with a gun.. at least give yous a chance to run. Lastly about the argument saying in history armor was still in use with the muskets and other guns of the era… people, you need a wake up call. this game has magic its OBVIOUSLY not entirely historically accurate. Its a fictional world… Peter and lionhead have their vision of Albion we are just players lucky to become a part of it.

Well i’ve played fable tlc and fable 2 and they were both great in my opinion. But fable 2 was a real let down compared to fable 1, the story was a lot shorter, there were less mini quests and i don’t like the one button combat system because you aren’t able to fight with your fists like fable 1. Fable 2 was too easy in my opinion, you can never die which means you can never fail a quest given which in fable one you have life limits and if you die you start over. There is a point into making a game hard and fable 2 didn’t have limits to mana, you can use how many times you want and you’ll never run out of mana, while in fable 1 you will have to wait for it to recharge or use mana potion. Fable 1 is what a call a REAL fable because it’s during historical times and is like a legend of some sort, it just gives you a feeling that you are playing a legend you know. While fable 2 doesn’t have that feel to it anymore, it didn’t feel like a fable, it felt like a average day life for a guy to do. Fable 2 had great graphics and features but fable 1 still beats it from story. The stroy in fable 1 is a lot better and the bosses were hard and felt like actual bosses while fable 2 the bosses were weak and useless. I’ll love to see a future fable (as of now it would be fable 4 since fable 3 came out already)that will have the same feeling like fable 1 to it again, I really hope Peter will look towards that in the future for fable 4, I want a challenging rpg game again like fable 1.

also about the mana, in fable 2 you can only use one at a time, while in fable 1 you can use three at a given choice so I want that system from fable 1 back it was a lot better and the camera for fable 1 was a lot better too.

I was never a 100% Fan of the original Fable, maybe because i started playing it not that far off from the release of Fable two. I beat it a few times, making different decisions and what not, but i still preferred Fable 2 more than one. The one button fighting system was to make it more simple and make you feel like the Hero really is powerful. Morality was a deeper influence in the game, and you could chose different genders. Where as in the first one, you only had the Male gender.

Fable 2 had the “Knock Out” System to connect with the History before Fable. For instance, William Black, the first Archon was supposedly immortal, so was Theresa and Scythe, and eventually Reaver (Theresa, Scythe and Reaver are the three oldesnt people in Albion by the time of Fable 3)
