The Joker, Green Lantern, Jax, Kitana added to MK vs. DC roster

The Joker, Green Lantern, Jax & Kitana have been added to Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe (MK vs DCU)! These characters were revealed at Comic-Con 2008. Check out The Jokers awesome character design render above. I can’t wait to see him in action! And I hope they give him a tommy-gun move ala Striker’s gun attack.

This raises the entire stable of announced MK vs DC characters to 14. They are:

Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Shang Tsung, Sonya, Liu Kang, Jax and Kitana on the Mortal Kombat side, and Superman, Batman, Catwoman, The Flash, Captain Marvel, The Joker, and Green Lantern on the DC side.

New details have also been revealed in a newly released IGN interview that was conducted during E3 2008.

These new Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe features include:

* Multiple fatalities/brutalities (as many as they can fit within the time constraints)
* Online support including lobbies and announcements
* 20 characters plus 1 ‘big boss’, and maybe a secret here and there
* Catwoman will possess a fatality maneuver
* Definite possibility of downloadable characters, environments and alternate costumes
* Wii version a definite possibility

Thanks for the info!!! I thought it would be pretty weird if Kitana wasn’t added, so I’m glad she is!! And The Joker looks cool!! I wonder if he has any fatalities? I also wonder who the rest of the characters will be…hopefully a four armed character on the Mortal Kombat side!

I’m glad Kitana was added too. But she’s been a staple of the series since MKII, so I was pretty sure they wouldn’t go without her.

The Joker is a DC villain, so he will have a fatality (hopefully more than one!) like all the other DC villains and MK characters.

I also really wonder who the “big boss” character will be . . . I’m hoping for Shao Kahn! I also doubt Goro will be a playable character, although with the Superman vs Goro match-up maybe it’s a possibility. It definitely would be awesome!
