I couldnt really pick i love all of them you know. The tales games are so unique they dont even compare to any other games. I own and beaten every single tales game and honestly the only bad one was tales of legendia. I have even play and own all the japanese one and versions of the americans. I did that because in well say tales of symphonia you cant get genis indignation judgement move in america so i got in japan. And yes I got tales of fandom awsome to. But i cant choose to save my life in a dire emergency. I i can name the ones i played over 20 times lets begin : tales of symphonia( cant wait for two), Tales of rebirth, tales of phanatasia( i had to it started it all duh), tales of the aybss, tale of fandom one and two, tales of destiny one and two, tales of innocence and tales of eternia. I cant wait for tales of hearts and tales of versperia i just cant. Well those are my favorite games even though it not just one game.
If I had to pick one Tales game as my favorite, I would have to say Tales of Symphonia would be my favorite. It is probably the best RPG on the gamecube. The experience I’ve had on this game is probably the most fulfilling since Ocarina of Time. Everything in this game just came together to make it one of the best RPGs I’ve seen so far. I’ve loved the characters, the graphics and the sound, which drew me into the game in the first place. The story is very simplistic, but also very involved and deep. Everything in the game is just so unique and special that puts it above the many RPG games that I’ve played.
The Tales series is unique in the RPG world, as it doesn’t conform to the standard formula used in many others. From the unique battle system to cooking for your group, (a feat I never seem to master, as in real life) it forges its own path in the RPG genre.
Picking one that stands out the most for me, would be Tales of Symphonia. My first impression of the story was completely different from what concluded, and had me drawn in.
The characters were personable; flawed, yet close to home. The battles were difficult without being frustrating, and the graphics were a nice balance of artistic and playful. All in all, it represents the best of the Tales series to me.
Tales of Symphonia
I’ve only played one. and it was Tales of Symphonia on the Gamecube.
Definitely Tales of Symphonia… but I also really like Tales of Rebirth and Tales of the Abyss… and Tales of Destiny II [the real one]. I’m also one of the few that likes Narikiri Dungeon 3. I also liked Tales of Phantasia, the PSX version. I’m not yet cool enough to have one of those new-fangled PSP-thingimajiggers. Haha. Anyway… yup. If you let me keep going, I’d probably list just about all of the Tales of games. Heehee. Vesperia looks great, though, and it’s made by the Symphonia-team, so… even better. I’m really looking forward to it. ^^
**glances over the related stories** There’s a special edition? Oh… Shiny. Sountrack, too. You can’t go wrong with that. All right, all right. [/ fan-rambling]
I like Tales of the Abyss best. Guy, Luke and Asche Rock! I enjoyed Tales of Symphonia too. All the characters are fun. I am amused by the fact that Zelos gets all the girls. I love Lloyd, Kratos, Collette and the whole gang. These games brought my daughter and I closer together; what fun we had! I would just play it with her
Tales of Symphonia HANDS DOWN. I played it 5 times straight and I’m still playing! ALL HAIL THE CHURCH OF LLOYD!
I’m a huge fan of the tales series and i especially loved tales of symphonia. Which i think is the best one of the series. Sense tales of symphonia was the first one of the series that i played and it had got me interested into the series. So thats why i chose symphonia as my favorite one of the series. p.s. I really want tales of vesperia but sense i lost my job and i have a child to take of. It’s been hard for me to get any games lately. so i’m begging you please pick me as a winner, it would really make me happy.
It’s a tough decision, but while Tales of the Abyss certainly stood out, I’d have to cast my vote for Tales of Symphonia. It’s story line was innovative, yet cliche; emotional, yet not overdone, and the character cast was phenomenal.
