New Populous DS trailer from E3 2008

Based on the original 1989 Populous PC classic from Electronic Arts, Populous DS brings a re-imagination of the classic strategy game, which pioneered the God simulation genre. Featuring touch-screen controls that utilize the dual-screens, players manipulate 5 elementally-imbued gods, each with their own unique miracles, within an extensive single-player campaign. Within the multiplayer wireless mode, up to 4 players can (locally) unleash earthquakes, tidal waves and raging volcanoes onto rival players’ lands.

Have the power of the gods in the palm of your hand, as shown by this Populous DS trailer from E3 2008 accompanied by Wagner’s “Ride of the Valkyries.”

Populous DS is expected on September 30, 2008.
