Pre-Order Deadly Creatures for WiiDeadly Creatures has a release date of October 13th and has been revealed at E3 2008 as a 3rd person action thriller (yes, thriller, you’ll see after you watch the trailer) set amidst a desert world of venomous terror, built exclusively for the Nintendo Wii and coming from Rainbow Studios (developer) and THQ (publisher).

In Deadly Creatures, players control an armored Scorpion and a deadly Tarantula as they fight for survival against Gila monsters, lizards, black widows and poisonous snakes who are all out for the kill and their dinner . . . YOU! Featuring intuitive motion controls and a deep combo-based combat system, Deadly Creatures is a thrilling mix of brutal creature-crushing action and suspenseful exploration of vast 360 degree desert and man-made environments. Gamers will explore this darkly compelling story through the eyes of two of the world’s most deadly creatures and if you’re good enough, live to tell the tale (well, if only spiders could talk . . .).

As you can tell by the trailer, the game is going for an entirely realistic feel and sense of scale as your little arachnids go up against much meaner and more terrifying creatures. It’s highly original and looks very fun. I also love the sense of suspense that the game is bringing in this “only the strong survive” world.

The game’s features include

* Unique Wii-based control scheme truly makes you feel like a Deadly Creature as you hunt, stalk and explore.
* Intense creature combat: use each creature’s distinctive attacks to battle a range of ferocious enemies.
* 360º Adventure: Explore a diverse, dangerous desert landscape from each creature’s unique perspective.
* Dual creature adventures intertwine and cross paths, revealing events from multiple perspectives.
* A world of creeping terror: The world is alive with enemies and natural dangers – the next attack may come from anywhere!

Check out the game in action in this awesome trailer.
