Massive Action Game (MAG) announced for PS3. Watch 256 people playing online in the E3 2008 trailer from Sony
MAG (Massive Action Game) was revealed at E3 2008 during Sony’s Pre-E3 Press Conference by Zipper Interactive, the same guys who brought the world the hit SOCOM tactical shooter series.
MAG is their all-new project and it will take the console gaming world to high place never seen before, as 256 human players, broken up into 8-men squads, battle it out simultaneously in a total free-for-all, where everything happens in real-time. Characters will also be able to advance their statistics as they play.
Check out the MAG (Massive Action Game) reveal trailer from E3 2008 and be amazed (although sadly the trailer looks to be CG, not actual gameplay).

I agree. The epic scope is amazing. Although as I said in the piece it’s a bit odd that they chose to use CG (apparently) for the trailer, we all remember what happened when the Killzone 2 guys tried that trick . . .
Now the game will have to match or exceed this trailer . . . let’s hope it does though, cause the trailer is awesome!
