Stormrise RTS announced for Xbox 360 and PS3 by Sega

Stormrise has been announced by Sega as an RTS for Xbox 360 & PS3 from Creative Assembly, the makers of the Total War PC series!

Set in a post-apocalyptic future, the story of Stormrise revolves around two warring factions. They are: the highly-technical Echelon, who have survived the apocalypse by hibernating, and the more primitive Sai, a tribal society.

Gameplay has you controlling troops from the front lines instead of overhead with the ability to command units on the ground, in the air, underground and across rooftops.

“The Creative Assembly have proven their general leadership in developing RTS games through the award winning ‘Total War’ series on PC”, commented Gary Knight, European Marketing Director, SEGA Europe. “However, Stormrise has been built from the ground up specifically for high def consoles to provide a more intense, frenetic style of game that, coupled with the all new control mechanic, will revolutionize the way RTS games are played.”
