Welcome to our “Soul Calibur IV” competition where you now have the chance to win the following prizes until the fighting game’s release date on July 29.

First prize: The SoulCalibur IV game for the system of your choice (Xbox 360 or PS3) plus a SoulCalibur IV bag and shirt;
Second prize: The SoulCalibur IV game for the system of your choice (Xbox 360 or PS3) plus a SoulCalibur IV shirt;
Third prize: A SoulCalibur IV shirt;

What do you need to do to win? Answer this question: “In the epic struggle between the holy sword Soul Calibur and its cursed counterpart, Soul Edge, who will win in SoulCalibur IV and why?”

What are the rules? This contest is only open to residents of the United States. All you have to do is leave a comment on this page with your answer before July 29th has passed at the strike of midnight. All entries must be in by date and time. One entry per person. Fill out your real email so we can contact you if you win (your email will be invisible to other readers, only the site staff can see it). I think in the end neither side will win because there’s always going to be the one guy that almost destroys the soul edge will be corrupted and the evil dude that gets the soul calibur will somehow become covered to the light side. So, in the end, it all starts over again.

In Soul Calibur IV, the Soul Edge will fall to the power of the Soul Calibur. In past iterations, the Soul Edge always grew in strength, possessing souls in order to fulfill its dark whims. Some fell to its cursed power, some succeeded to control it, and others were able to destroy it. It depends on the strength of the character and his/her motives, however, in the end, more fighters in this generation will be able to overcome the raw power of the accursed blade.

In the end of the final battle between the two great forces soul edge/ soul calibur i believe the outcome shall not be in either favor but more of a stand still… a great epitaph of these two swords tales honoring the countless souls who set on a grand voyage to either seek their power or destroy them; in the end nothing will remain only the empty hollow shells of the brief memories of those who fought and died to control the wicked power and those who fought to destroy it; leaving only time with out destruction nor righteousness just peace
