Hmmm…well judging from the responses I checked out, it seems most people believe that neither sword will be standing. Here’s my hypothesis on the whole thing:
It’s always been said that good will always triumph over evil but in reality there’s always someone out there that wants power, at any cost usually. So I take it that the only way to TRULY win is to destroy BOTH swords, as mentioned in earlier comments. But then again if Soul Edge really gets obliterated by Soul Calibur, then it really could be the last one standing since no evil-hearted person can touch that sword, much like the Master sword in Zelda. So Imma say that Soul Calibur might be the last one standing.

Soul Caliber will win because if something is evil they have a reason to be and Soul Caliber will over power Soul Edge

I think that there are multiple ways that the story could end in this epic struggle. But since the question is “who will win?” I am guessing that the two canceling out would be out of the question because then technically there would be no “winner.” In the end, it is down to the skilled player and which path he wishes to lead to the final battle… Either light will conquer, or there will be all consuming darkness… or better yet.. DUAL WIELD!!!

I think in this game the struggle will actually finally come to and end. It will not be ending the game however.

This is what I think: With certain scythe wielding characters sticking around, and with the split of Seigfried and Nightmare, there can only be one option. The swords are either both going to be shattered in their epic battle, or in this battle the swords will some how be fused together.

Story wise it seems a little to epic for this game to end like any other Soul Calibur game.

Well I think that neither sword will win. As most have stated previously most will use anything in their power to gain that ultimate power. So the only way for that not to happen would be for the Soul Calibur to do as it did in the third game, lock the two swords together making them useless. With that done the sOUL eDGE will not be able to cause any harm and the Soul Calibur will not need to be used anymore once the evil sword is stopped.

Both swords will be destroyed by Yoda and his lightsaber. Seriously guys, LIGHTSABER.

People always like the redemption of a fallen hero –western and eastern cultures alike. This all began with Siegfried being consumed by his lust for power (and the necessity thereof at the time) and so it shall end. Much like Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader’s life and storyline, I believe the theme of “redemption” will make Soul Calibur the victor…for now. But two sides of the same coin, whether good vs. evil or light vs. dark, will always exist. For one to be vanquished, both must be destroyed.

In the epic battle between good and evil as told in the Soul Calibur saga whom do I think will win? Honestly this is a very hard question because if you think about it, good and evil has always been prevalent before the swords they have just manifested their selves into these two swords. And unfortunately they will still be prevalent after the swords are gone. You see I’m a stone cold Soul Calibur wielding goody; that is What’s In My Soul and I know that; but even I know that good and evil will all ways be in one form or another their will never be one over the other. So in the case of the swords No One Will Win. Not good not evil because they are one in the same and will always be one and the same no matter what anyone do they will always be together. So even if in the last battle both swords are destroyed good and evil will rise again. That is what they are destine to do. Live… to fight………… again!

This is tricky personally I would say soul edge but I’m a fan of soul calibur so here’s what I think

soul edge, because it feeds of the souls and fear of others and honestly who wouldn’t be scared if they saw a sword like that and the wielder of this sword in most if not all the games is nightmare and he is a pretty big dude and lets face it he is pretty powerful and is said to have used the sword to kill so he can bring back his dead father so I think the sword would be full of power and ready to take in more like a pig in a junk yard. Another reason is that in soul calibar two in the story mood what was the goal for all….. To find the sword soul edge they said it would bring peace
Yunsung said it would save his village and some found what they were looking for others did not. My last reason is the in everything you hear about you go bad it consumes you so if you were to find the sword and use it, it’s dark power would consume you inside and you to would turn to the dark side the sword would guide your soul and tell you were to go ignoring your heart and the good side turning bad killing for fun and destruction will be on your mind all the time soon you will think of nothing but the dark side of the force as darth Vader would say. These are the main reason why if Nightmare(soul edge) and Siegfried (soul calibur) nightmare would win. In a long run
