1600 Microsoft Points Card for use on Xbox LiveFrom today, at 9AM GMT (2AM PDT), you can play Namco Bandai’s SoulCalibur on Xbox Live Arcade for Xbox 360. SoulCalibur will be available worldwide for 800 Microsoft Points (that’s US$10 / €9.60 / £6.80 / CAN$12.40 / AU$13.20).

Fighting game perfection in now back in your hands, this time to the Xbox 360! Play as one of the 19 characters on a mission to acquire the Soul Edge! Do you have what it takes? Now on Xbox Live Arcade, SoulCalibur is completely reworked with HDTV support, Leaderboards and of course challenging Achievements.

Key game features include:
* Nineteen playable characters: All of your favorite fighters are back including Kilik, Ivy, Siegfried, Edge Master, Nightmare, and many more!
* Eight modes of play: Try the different game modes including Story, Versus, and even Museum Mode that allows players to view artwork, character models, and animations.
* Leaderboards galore: Compare stats in sixty leaderboards spanning across each character and mode.
* High definition support: SoulCalibur has been given a whole new coat of beautiful paint to support HD resolutions up to 1080p.
Main conversion omissions are:
* The game no longer takes up their entire screen, but still is 90′s TV 4:3 size.
* The Mission Mode is missing. On the Dreamcast version, Mission Mode would allow players to complete a series of objectives on a map to unlock different artwork. Despite it not being there, the artwork is in an art gallery. It gives the player an achievement by looking at everything.
* The game has local co-op only. Cross-continental online swordfights are limited to the upcoming online-enabled Soulcalibur IV.

Also available today is DLC for Wits & Wagers (with 280 new questions) will be available for 320 Microsoft Points (that’s US$4 / €3.84 / £2.72 / CAN$4.96 / AU$5.28).

Yeh it’s great. It’s too bad there’s no online multiplayer though.
