Spore: Galactic Special Edition coming for $80 / £45 / €70

For the ultimate Spore fan, Maxis & EA just announced the limited Galactic Edition. This special box contains:

* The ‘Making of Spore’ DVD,
* ‘The Art of Spore’ hardback mini-book,
* A fold-out Spore poster,
* A premium 100-page Galactic Handbook,
* A DVD documentary from the National Geographic Channel called “How to Build a Better Being”.

Spore: Galactic Edition for PC’s with Windows XP / Vista and Mac’s with OS X will be available in the U.S. for $79.99 (with the regular edition costing $49.99), in the UK for £44.99 (with the regular edition costing £39.99), and in the rest of Europe for €69.99 (with the regular edition costing €59.99). Versions of Spore will ship for the PC, Mac, Nintendo DS and mobile phones on September 5, 2008 in Europe and September 7, 2008 in North America and Asia.
