Metal Gear Solid 4 sold half a million in 4 days in Japan
Japanese gaming website Famitsu has revealed the Entertain sales data for Metal Gear Solid 4 in Japan. During the first four days the PlayStation 3 exclusive was on sale, it sold 476,334 copies — nearly half a million! — spread across the various editions, including those that came with PlayStation 3 hardware bundles.
These hardware bundles increased PlayStation 3 sales in the country from 10,000 a week to 77,208. Sales numbers from the other two big Sony regions Europe and America are expected soon. — Famitsu translation by Kotaku
