Forza Motorsport 3 confirmed. Features over 400 cars and 100 tracks on a 2-disc set

Forza Motorsport 3 (Forza 3) will be the next part of the racing simulator series that caters to both motorsports fans and automotive lifestyle enthusiasts. A leaked survey, likely issued my Microsoft, claims “Forza 3 will offer the premier racing experience available exclusively for Xbox 360. … Forza 3 is an epic game - Due to the number of cars and tracks included in the Forza 3 game, it will be sold as a 2-disc set.”

Key features of Forza 3 include:
* Highly detailed real-world car and track models (over 400 cars and 100 tracks).
* Near limitless customization options for car tuning and custom artwork.
* A variety of online community features.
* Highly accurate racing simulation including real world damage.
* New race modes (drag, drift, oval, point to point racing, etc.)
* Powerful assist system to help new players get into the game quickly.

The survey also asks about interest in an exclusive Forza 3 Limited Collector’s Edition that would “include the full version of the game plus membership in a special VIP program that would entitle the buyer to all future Forza 3 downloadable content, access to exclusive online race events and prizes, VIP status on Forza Auction House and Community boards, extra server space for photos and videos, and a free month of LIVE. The Collector’s Edition would also include exclusive motorsports content not found anywhere else - This could be anything from authentic racing gear (gloves, helmets, etc.) to specially created automobile manufacture gear (branded jackets, etc.) to VIP motorsport event tickets.” — Via Neogaf

G-Forza

People are comparing GT5 with FM2.
And Forza 2 just looks a little less as good. Because it hasn’t real spectacular tracks with busy down town terrain, (except New york). But wait till Forza 3 comes out. And it’s coming! It still might not be as polished and sterile. I hope not. If Turn 10 makes it right, Forza 3 will be vivid with life and racing atmosphere. And spectacular action with dynamic camera work in replays.

Forza 3 - we’re waiting.

Forza each time has beat out Gran turismo because of one fact. Realism. people so easily get sucked into Gran turismo’s replays they forget the actual driving is not realistic with real world physics. when Forza 2 was made. they used real professional drivers in cars and took them to some of the real tracks. the real drivers ran about 1-3 tenths as fast in the courses in game as they did in real. not to mention Gran turismo has always been cheap in having no contact damage models. Forza took the crown frm Gran turismo a long time ago and Forza 3 seems no different especially since they are bringing back the drag racing aspect that made it so popular to begin with..

also add in forza has Realistic upgrades. that actually occure in real. along with engines swaps and such that do happen. Forza 3 will be a very well made game if they combine the best from forza 1 & 2

Hey every one who is novice in the gaming thing!Should know one thing.There is three games that you cant compare to each other.1.GRAN TURISMO 5 2.FORZA3 3.GRID

GT=Ultimate driving experience in the world.ultimate graphics.When i took screen shots from the no one could tell that it was from a game 900+ cars

Forza 3=superb game lots of customization.very good game.400+cars

GRID= Just Clone of forza and gt :-0

hey, my names darren and i would just like to say that i enjoy playing forza 2 alot. and i put countless hours into that game. and for forza 3 i am looking for #1 is how real they make the sounds/turbo sounds ( open wastegate/closed wastegate) they did a great job on forza 2 but. i know with a little more work (forza 3) they can have this game be a legend. expecially if they have drag racing. hands down ill buy the game for 60 dallors as long as i can put a loud exhuast on my car and a nice spooling turbo. and maybe a nice wet nitrious kit with out the damn screen bluring if you know what i mean. one more other thing. the slick in forza 2 suck. i think they should make a drag radial tire and a drag slick tire. and be able to customize tire sizes. so that we can get all 800 ponys to the ground. nuff said. o and 1 more thing!! can i have a damn boost controler please ?? please??? i like putting that big turbo on but if you cant contorl the boost pressure why have it?!?!

sory sory 1 last thing. more cars = competes with GT4 and GT5. i love seeing old single cam civic hatches. or an old fox mustang. all 90’s cars. and i think everybody else does too. enough with the lambos and skyline r35 (gay). you gotta have the 90’s era cars!! even 80’s!

yea i agree, they should put a boost controller, mb some motorcycles, a in game view and a dash bored mounted tach. and a day and night time timer and i hope if they do put drag on the game its nothing like prostreet, like i hop you can beable to go line up ur self stage ur self do ur own burn out race then line back up by ur self. BUT! im afriad these are al just wishs

A few things i would like to see in forza 3: Cockpit view like gt5, If i put a custom exhaust i would like to see the difference on the car, not the exact same design it started out with. I would like to be able to see every car under the hood and see turbo kits, superchargers etc on the engine. Plz bring back drag racing and alot of exotic tracks from around the world.

@ SOLID SNAKE: you said those three games couldn’t be compared, so why did you? Grid is not a clone of anything, it’s an arcade racer stylized to look like the Hollywood idea of motorsports. Obviously, race games tend to resemble each other… because they’re RACE GAMES.

@ andrew: “mb some motorcycles” do you know you just absolutely nullified your entire comment by saying that? Bikes will never ever be added to a car racing game. They use an entirely different set of physics than cars, they can’t race alongside cars, and they’re not cars.

I’d like to see:
1.weather effects (rain!), lighting changes (NIGHT!),
2. more tracks (Monaco? Macau? Zandvoort? Nordschleife GP? etc…),
3. the ability to mod street cars so heavily they count as R4 or better (so we can finally have custom RACEcars) and most importantly;
4. better car graphics. Yes, the cars are pretty; yes, your custom decals are awesome… but half the time your 1000 layers of art are pixelated too much to look like the thing u made in the first place… GT5 graphics + FM2 editor + GT5 tracks + FM2 online = what we all want. (and then damage modeling)
