Mega Man 9 sequel to the original series coming!
Capcom has registered a Mega Man 9 game with the OFLC, the Australian games rating board. No platforms are specified, although it will be released for multiple systems. The listing shows it will be an original game. The last Mega Man games from the classic action-platform series were Mega Man 8 and Mega Man & Bass.

Rumors before the rating said that “The series will introduce new characters, provide online multiplayer, and will have leaderboards. The game will be hitting the Xbox 360 on Live and the PlayStation 3 on PSN,” according to Destructoid; and Wiiwareworld suggests it could hit Nintendo’s WiiWare game download service as well.
