Guitar Hero 4: World Tour release date is October 27th, 2008

Activision’s Guitar Hero 4: World Tour listings on the GameStop online shop have revealed the release date is October 27th, 2008, in America on the PS2, Wii, PS3, Xbox 360. The music-rhythm game will be available as just the $50-$60 game (for those who already have a guitar and only want to use that); as a $100 Guitar Kit; or an expensive $180-$190 Band Kit (that includes a wireless guitar, wireless drums and wired microphone).

Guitar Hero 4: World Tour is comprised entirely of master recordings from some of the greatest classic and modern rock bands of all-time including Van Halen, Linkin Park, The Eagles, Sublime and many more. The game will have more localized downloadable music than ever before on all of the next-generation consoles (Xbox 360, PS3 AND Wii). Budding rock stars will also be given creative license to fully customize everything from their characters’ appearance and instruments to their band’s logo and album covers.

UPDATE: Drummers from Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Police, and Blink 182 show off Guitar Hero’s new velocity-sensitive Drum Kit.

I was looking at the trailer for GH IV and the symbol is actually a symbol. Not a pad like rock band but this black this on top of the pads. There is actually a circular patente ( its french for thing) that is the bass drum. I’m already anxious for it.

the symbol is not a circle on guitar hero 4
its not a circular pad either its more of a triangle
ive watched the test video for the drums multiple times its a triangle not a circle but a triangle with a pad on it that you hit with the drum stick

It should be called Rock Band Hero 4.

But sooner later rock band is going to make something better…

like 1 of them is greenday american idiot , they could of chosen a betta greenday song.

The creators of rock band took the awesome idea that is Guitar Hero and tried to make it theirs. PFFT!!! now GH is stepping up and reminding them who really runs this! Im excited and cant wait to play.

just 4 single game play mode alone i’m anxious to buy guitar hero 4 on pre-order, even if there is only one instument its more fun than rockband (forming a band) will ever be.
