Official Soul Calibur 4 character list

Out of the complete Soul Calibur 4 cast, 34 characters have been revealed like Ivy and Tira, but we thought it was time to list the Soul Calibur 4 characters below that have been confirmed for the upcoming July 29th, 2008, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 fighting game.

Darth Vader and Yoda, characters from the Star Wars universe, are confirmed to be playable guest characters but exclusive to different platforms. Vader will be on the PS3 and Yoda will be on the Xbox 360, however it was stated in issue 179 of GameInformer magazine that “Namco was nice enough to concede that the second characters may be available for download on the respective consoles at a later date.”

When you click on each Soul Calibur 4 character’s name below, a window will pop up with a picture of him / her.

On top of all these characters, Namco Bandai’s game director Katsutoshi Sasaki has said that Create-a-Character will return from Soul Calibur 3, and will allow customized and created characters to be playable in multiplayer mode (in Special VS online as well). Up to 50 custom character slots will be available towards this end.

I bought SC4 on sat and at first glance was pretty impressed, it was only after getting home and looking deeper that the sadness started to seep in. I believe that Vader and Yoda respectively should be unlockable and not downloadable, as this is just another gimmick to get money from your pocket. The ability to download extra content is in the 1st instance a very good idea but when you look at how much you can potentionally spend on 1 game it starts to get a bit silly.

I think it would have been obviously to the makers that the carrot of Vader and Yoda having a battle together would be too much to resist, all it would take is for all or at least as many as possible NOT to download said characters on thier platforms in the hope that perhaps they will either become free or at least bring the price down.

After looking at the attributes I feel that this has gone a bit OTT as come on guys it’s a fighting game for christ sake not a bloody catwalk. A few costumes cool a couple of weapons great anything else is justa waste of time.

In short this is still a good game but a shame as it could and should have been mind blowing but I guess that’s what you get for commercialism and the want for all to make that little bit extra. I won’t be getting rid of SC2 just yet as still to go online and am dreading the inevitable lag as with SF2, DOA, MK3

Well I argee that Darth Vader should be
unlockable and not downloadable or atleast
not so pricey they should have atleast
allowed you to use Yoda or the Apprentice’s
fighting style to make your own jedi. Also
they should have kept the characters from soul calibur 3:
Hwang, Li Long and Olcadan.
and brought back:
Edge Master from soul blade,
Inferno from soul calibur 2,
Night Terror and Revenant from soul calibur 3.

Now that would be great but I hear that they
are working on soul calibur v=5 already.
Now heres my idea. if any and all of us band together and makes suggestion’s
to the createtors of the game they could make one of the best fighting games ever.
except MK nothing beats Mortal Kombat.
Fatality, brutality, animality, babyality and
Friendship. LOL.

I also hear that they are making a bunch of
downloadable characters like that one robot
that use’s 6 lightsabers from star wars.
and more.

i just got SC4 today – and just spent the last 5 hrs playing it! its brilliant, i have bon a fan since the very first sould blade. I agree about the darth vader thing tho. I wish you could at least equip a lightsaber as a weapon. but its still a great game with alot of replay-ability, as so to collect all the costumes parts. will see u guy online for MEGA BATTLES TO THE DEATH AHHHHHH!!!

I got SCIV for PS3 and it’s amazing…However Does anyone know what the extra character box next to Vader is for? I know it’s rumored to be for Yoda but when? My ID is Meez80 for those who want to battle!

it’s definatly for yoda, it should be avilable as DLC soon.

I figure that the only reason for it that makes sense is that the PS3 is black (hence Darth Vadar) and the Xbox main colour is green (hence Yoda).

How lame is that us 360 owners betrayed by the colour of the brading

does anyone know if you can make your own jedi like luke using the lighsaber weapon… wtf did they not include that
