The PC fantasy Massive Multiplayer Online RPG “Dragon Ball Online” takes place on Earth, 216 years after the events at the conclusion of the Dragon Ball Z manga series. Saiyans no longer exist in this Age 1000 world, but you will be able create Human, Namekian, and Majin characters to play as. Don’t worry attacks like Kienzan and Kamehameha are still in the game, and as the Dragon Ball Online videos show, you’ll still be able to see Saiyans during Timemachine Quests: These quests have Time Patrol Trunks guide you as you travel back in time to take part in important moments of Dragon Ball history.

The Dragon Ball Online beta test was supposed to begin in South Korea in the summer of 2007, but development was delayed by a year, so the beta is currently scheduled to go live in Korea by the end of 2008, and in Japan in 2009. No American and European releases have been announced yet, although in a Dragon Ball Online press conference held in South Korea on February 14th, 2008, Dragon Ball Online developer NTL expressed interest in releasing the game to a worldwide audience with Bandai Korea president, Yosiaki Emoto, saying: “As for the MMORPG market in Japan and Europe and America, they are still young and distant. It makes the flow of where to start easy, from a new game in Korea it keeps spreading to the entire world… Dragon Ball Online [in South Korea] is only the beginning, we are convinced of that.”

Fans of the series should be happy to hear that series creator Akira Toriyama has a great deal of creative control over the project, aside from completely ignoring Dragon Ball GT, he contributes and supervizes the story and art design, including character and location arrangements. In fact, it’s been stated that Mr. Toriyama has been working on character designs for this project for the last five years.

Here are the game’s races and character classes:
HUMAN:
* Martial Artist — Fighters who specialize in martial arts, comparable to characters like Yamucha or Tenshinhan.
* Spiritualist — Mystics who specialize in spiritual, ki-based techniques.
* Engineer — Mechanics and inventors who build weapons and utilize technology, much like Bulma.

NAMEKIAN:
* Dragon Clan — Members of the Namekian support caste which have abilities including healing, such as Dende or Kami.
* Warrior — Members of the Namekian warrior caste, which includes Piccolo and Nail.

MAJIN:
* Strange Majin — Slender, evil-looking Majin who have a similar appearance to Majin Buu’s original, pure form.
* Large Majin — Fat, happy-looking Majin who resemble Majin Buu’s good form.

Hello all, and please be nice/friendly.
Alright i’m a really big fan of DB, well it’s a shame they removed the sayians but it doesn’t matter at all, everyone would chose to be a saiyan, anyway i heard you could wish to become the ability to turn into a super sayian after getting the 7 dragon balls.
    So
    about the overpowerd thing.
Majin = Remember Boo?, They are stronger than sayians To be honest
Namekian = Piccolo used to be stronger than any human
Humans = Well they seem to be weak, but after getting the dragon balls they become epic.

So, will playing the game be free?
Or do you have to pay if you want to play.
If you don’t understand what am i saying i’ll explain it better, after buying the cd, or downloading the game, can you register/play without donations and such stuff.
And my last question, is it out so far? xD
    Thanks for reading.

Hi there i’m a big DB fan too.

Yupp you’re right about the humans being able to become super sayians when gathering the draginballs. The ability will slowly drain EP and will last as long as you have Ep, well that’s pretty much all i know about that seeing as i did’nt get to far in the game without getting utterly confused by the korean language. As far as i’ve seen the game is free with a shop option for special stuff. As for if it’s out yes but only in Japan and Korea for now, so to play the game now yah better learn korean or japanese. Sadly there are no offical date for when it comes out in the west as of yet allthought there have been rumors about it coming out sometime in 2010 but as far as i have seen it looks pretty slim thought. I suposse we’ll just have to keep our fingers crossed and hope Bandai realises that there are many fans in the west eagerly waiting for the english release.

  • DBZ FAN!!

Bandai had better put it out in english because i really love foreign languages, but i don’t want to simply for a game.. but i will if i have to.. this dbo game has been in my imagination literally for years and i was hoping it would come out.. i have more ideas for it but of course i’m a nobody so chances are i’ll never realize those dreams.. i am done ranting now, but HOLY SHIZA DBO!!!! all i have to say is i love DB I know everything about it and im crazy about the characters storyline etc.Ive always wanted this to happen. I hate the fact that they turned DB into fighting games only knowing that they can think much deeper and make an RPG with a storyline that can be as good as final fantasy(or even better)., and after all these years Bandai Finally woke up.Dragonball z sagas was the closest thing they had to an RPG, I always wanted square soft to make a DB game(Final Fantasy type of DB would Be excellent). But at least its a start, lets hope for the best, and see if they make sequals to this game,so we need this game to to do well in the west.DB Fans Unite!!!!!!!!!!!

I am soooo happy to see this game has finaly come into creation(even tho its not in america yet). I am hopping its a WoW type game in the sense of leveling and improving skills not like diabloII where you could get as strong as you will be in a day. I also hope to see a pay to play aspect to keep hacking to a minimum and maybe they will keep adding patches to improve and prolong gameplay.
