The Nintendo Channel has launched early in America, it was supposed to be released alongside the WiiWare* service next week, but has been live since this morning. As you can see in this video tour of Everybody’s Nintendo Channel it adds the ability to download DS game demos like Ninja Gaiden DS and Crosswords DS to your Wii, which can then be wirelessly transfered to your DS (Lite). You can also stream game trailers and video interviews directly onto your Wii. You might want to keep those DS demos on your Wii if you like them, because once you turn your DS off the demo will be erased from its internal memory and will have to be re-transfered from your Wii (unless you put your DS on sleep mode by closing it).
The “Find Titles for You” section shows released and upcoming Wii and DS game lists and allows everyone to give a mini-review / rating once they’ve played a Wii game for over an hour. The search/lists will all be tailored to your gaming preferences and if you find a Virtual Console or WiiWare game you like that way, you can directly download it without having to startup the Wii Shop Channel. Nintendo also mentions you can even click to order games straight from your Wii, if you have the Internet Channel installed.
* You’ll be able to get WiiWare games in America/Canada from May 12th and in Europe/Australia from May 20th. — Via CVG
