List of most wanted Wii Virtual Console games in Nintendo Power ruled by RPGs

The Nintendo Power magazine votes you emailed them have been counted and last month’s question “What games do you want on the Wii Virtual Console?” has now been answered. Nintendo seems to be taking notice as the ESRB yesterday confirmed EarthBound as a Wii downloadable game! That’s not the only Super NES RPG that showed up, though…

Here’s the reader’s top 5 most wanted:
1. Earthbound (Super NES)
2. Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (Super NES)
3. Chrono Trigger (Super NES)
4. Mother (NES/Japan Only)
5. The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask (N64)

This all but confirms the release of one of my top 5 games of all time, Super Mario RPG!

And I hope that they not only release that game, but I still hold out hope that Square will get together with Nintendo and do a direct-sequel to Mario RPG, bringing back the long-overdue update of Mallow and Geno! AND SMITHY!

Would be so awesome . . . .

So true, I loved Super Mario RPG as well, but can’t complain about sequels with all the Paper Mario games that have come out.

Looking at the top 5, I’ve got to be honest and say all those other Nintendo RPGs are pretty much certain to appear on the Wii Shop at some point. It’s the underrated games I would’ve loved to see appear (like all of Rare’s games), but the published list is too short to tell what others got many votes.

Come on lets bring back Super Mario Rpg my super nintendo system broke so its been years since i’ve been able to play this wonderful game… By far the best game in history SUPER MARIO RPG!!!!!!

I don’t know what’s wrong with Nintendo. EarthBound has been and always will be, in the top 5 wanted VC games. I got an email, and one of the answers was: Nintendo may not think it would sell well.

They’re totally wrong. Best game ever.

I think they should put Zelda Majoras mask
because i ve almost finished every Zelda game. And Link turns into a plant . yea that s sweet .
