Eight Days in full production, The Getaway 3 to follow on PS3
The Guardian UK newspaper got a sneak peek at what Sony’s London Studio is developing. It turns out they have Eight Days in full production and once that’s finished for the PlayStation 3, The Getaway 3 will move beyond pre-production.
The Eight Days quote: “Moving up from floor to floor, we see Eight Days – which is just ramping up to full production. To get an idea of the scale of development required on next-gen consoles, the team, currently numbering 63, will expand to about 80 with a further 40 or so outsourced workers. A small team is working on pre-production for the next iteration of The Getaway, in preparation for being joined by the bulk of the Eight Days team when the latter is completed.”
As for The Getaway 3, last month screenplay writer Katie Ellwood also confirmed that the action title is still in the works, no release date or estimated release date was given. However, Ellwood said that Sony are making deals with movie companies about the possibility of a future film adaptation of The Getaway 3 game.
