It’s been confirmed that Paramount has an official Cloverfield game in development for unspecified systems. This news was leaked when the creator of a Cloverfield fan game, Brad Johnson, was contacted by Paramount’s legal department on March 14th, 2008. To quote what he was told: “Paramount is making an official Cloverfield game and we want your domain name, cloverfieldgame.com, for that domain. And we want to know if you’d be interested in providing the domain name over to us.”
Which the creator of the Cloverfield fan game did to prevent any legal issues, and he’s now moved his project over to grayshotgame.com. As you can see, the domain he formerly owned now leads back to the official movie site.
Hear all about it in his Youtube video:
Let’s hope the game creators can afford a steadycam!
