Super Smash Bros. Brawl 2 sequel in the head of series creator Masahiro Sakurai

Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai talked about a Super Smash Bros. Brawl 2 sequel at the Game Developers Conference 2008. It’s interesting to hear him say certain features like voice chat were left out because of Wii limitations, but that there were more not included features he thought about added, which he’d like to put in a sequel. What follows are the relevant interview quotes:

Question: What would be that one specific feature you wish you could have added?
Masahiro Sakurai answers: I feel like anything I’ve considered I’m probably going to think about when — I mean if — another game was to come out in the series and so I’d like to keep a lid on that for now. and not disclose anything I’ve been thinking about there.

Question: Have you done everything you can do with the Smash Bros. franchise now? In other words, can Wii owners look forward to a Super Smash Bros. Brawl sequel in the future?
Masahiro Sakurai answers: Well, the series has already had three iterations so I cannot say with one-hundred percent confidence that there won’t be any additional Smash Bros. games ever. But, at the same time I’d really like to note that I feel like with Brawl there are already so many modes and so much to do that it’s really hard to exhaust what you can do with this game. I’m really against the idea of merely creating a sequel that would add modes or increase the number of characters in the roster — all the sort of things that just simply fatten up the game. I’d like to avoid just doing that if a sequel ever came out.

Put in tails!!!! And perhaps amy, blaze, and some digimon characters. Veemon, gatomon, patamon, and terriermon! If there is a next brawl but I love your game but I was thinking, if there’s not another then why don’t you sell the characters online? When playing SSBB people should be able to buy the characters from a series of shows. Even those that haven’t been selected for brawl like digimon!

Put in tails!!! You should put in amy, blaze and tails of course! And some digimon like Veemon, Gatomon, Terreirmon and patamon! You should grab some characters from the nintendo 64, that will probably make a metor hit!

As much as I’d love playing as a digimon on Smash Bros. I’m afraid it’s probably not going to happen. No offense. I agree they should put in Tails, and Blaze. But I also think they should put in Silver. I wish they could put in Banjo and Kazooie though. But it’s never going to happen.

u should put shadow on there and silver and knuckles and blaze and vitful joe and blue jr.and for modes u should put in online co-op and online and put the old players from super smash bros. melee to and online co-op challenges and some more poeple from star fox and digmon and walugia and sasuke and naruto and ichigo and could

Personally I think Digimon does not belong in Smash Bros. but Knuckles, Tails, and other Sonic characters would be perfect. i also like the idea of buying characters online.

I believe you should all shut up about characters.

Bring back the old stadium events (Board the platforms and Race to the finish), make target test individualist again, and try to make online more sturdy, all the while embedding hard to find Advanced Techniques for the competitive audience.

Kill two birds with one good game.

im probaly gunna sound like a a naruto fan boy (i are) i think naruto should be in it (i no im a fool not a nintendo carecter) picture this picachu get hit by yoshis egg and links there to (big fight) and the the number one hyperative knuckle heded ninja jumps in(naruto) and sexy jutsus them i would pay 100000000000000000£
just to see links reaction any way links desgusted (i think naruto in naruto shippuuden) would do nicely any way link and yoshi charge him but naruto gets the smash ball and does his best move his wind rasen -surikan then its link and yoshis whos running from naruto but its so power full it wind sucks them all onto it there get sucked into its dedlynest the vortex in case you dont no it attacks what evre it is stuck in the vortex is attacked on a microscopic level the cells them self now that would be good if he was in brawl with this hes even got an anoying taunt imaging your loseing to himand he repeatly kepps taunting (belive it belive it) it drives me crazy so he would be a great smash carecter
