Infinity Ward will be releasing the Call of Duty 4 map pack titled “Variety Map Pack” as downloadable content for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on April 3rd, 2008. On Xbox Live Marketplace they’ll be yours for 800 Microsoft Points (that’s US$10 / €9.60 / £6.80 / CAN$12.40 / AU$13.20).
The four new maps are called: Kill Creek, Broadcast, Chinatown and Killhouse. They are best described as: “Kill Creek is a built from scratch map that is a wide open village. Broadcast is an expanded map of the Broadcast Station single player mission. It’s a CQB style map with tight hallways, multiple levels and wide open parking lots to fight in. Chinatown is a new built from scratch map that features a downtown area at night as the fog is rolling in. Killhouse is an expanded map of the training center in the single player story. This map is small and designed mostly for lone wolf style death match.”
Just so you know, these maps will be included with the Call of Duty 4: Game of the Year Edition that comes out on the same day. In the new box you’ll get a coupon to download the four maps for free.
