The evolution of Super Smash Bros. video, from N64 to Melee to Brawl

Super Smash Bros. for N64The Super Smash Bros. series sure has come a long, long way from it’s Nintendo 64 debut in 1999. In this video you will see clips from every Super Smash Bros. game, both side-by-side and one-after-another showing the games evolution from the Nintendo 64 original, to the GameCube sequel Super Smash Bros. Melee, to the newly released Super Smash Bros. Brawl successor to the throne.

The most amazing part to me is not only how far the series has come (especially graphically, but in all other areas as well) but in how little has actually changed. The core gameplay from the original Super Smash Bros. is still fully intact in Brawl, and yet it has evolved at what is pretty much the perfect pace that a fighting series should evolve at. It reminds me of going from the original Tekken, to Tekken 2, to Tekken 3. You can really see the improvements when you directly compare them.
