Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 for Xbox 360Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 — the sequel to the award-winning next-generation first-person shooter — returns to Sin City. In the game it’s your last chance to rescue America’s sexiest city from an escalating terrorist siege that will force you into heart-pounding action from beginning to end. The best are back and this time winner takes all.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 pushes the franchise to new heights by adding new gameplay features and even more visuals. Players encounter an intense solo campaign that uses new tactical possibilities in various locations around Sin City. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 also breaks new ground in both co-op and adversarial modes, while providing interaction between the solo and multiplayer modes.

Has the sequel doubled down, or is it a big bluff? Find out in this Rainbow Six Vegas 2 video review.

R6 Vegas 2 main features are:
* More Vegas – Sin City is back and bigger than before. Explore all new Vegas hot spots as the environment changes from dusk to bright daylight to dawn, creating a visual experience that is as challenging as it is breathtaking.
* More Multiplayer – The highly acclaimed multiplayer mode in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas has been upgraded to include 11 new maps that force more intense face-offs, two new adversarial modes, more rewards, and easier access to matches using the improved and intuitive matchmaking system.
* Unprecedented Customizable Experience – Create your own identity that stays the same in both single player and multiplayer modes and progresses as you do. Reap the benefits of your single player rewards in multiplayer and vice versa.
* Vastly Improved Co-op mode – Turn single player mode into co-op mode at any time, just by jumping into the game. Now your friend can jump into your single player game and help you without any change to the story.
* Improved AI – AI is more challenging than ever. Now, the terrorists are equipped with thermal vision, night vision, and shields – not to mention a multitude of varying reactions – all of which are guaranteed to give you a new playing experience every time you go into battle. As you progress within the game, you’ll only be able to outsmart your enemies by taking advantage of intel opportunities, such as thermal scanning, and tactical strategies, such as leapfrogging.
* New Weapons and Armor – Take down the terrorists more effectively using 11 new weapons. New camouflage, clothing and gear allow you to take customization to the next level.

To quote the video review: “When the original Vegas was released it was absolutely stunning. Bathed in the neon of the strip, it has a very distinctive look, and shootouts inside casinos don’t hurt its appeal, either. The sequel takes you away from the action to desolate signage graveyards where sin city’s failures go to die, and through abandoned convention halls rife with blatant in-game advertising. The stellar character models only make the drab environments all the more obvious, and Vegas 2 stands as a testament to how quickly standards can change in the HD era. It’s not an average-looking game by anyone’s estimation, but it’s not on the bleeding edge, either.

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 doesn’t feel much like a sequel. The limited development time has allowed for few improvements and a truncated, forgettable campaign. The good news is that the formula is so strong that it remains a compelling play. Tossing a smoke grenade, turning on your thermal visor, and mowing down enemies dumb enough to charge recklessly through the haze just never gets old. It still enables the minute-by-minute survival instinct that keeps online servers flooded, but those without an online option will feel a disconnect from Rainbow nation.”
