BioShock 2 launch period confirmed for after August 2009

After BioShock‘s success in both gameplay quality and sales of 2 million, BioShock 2 seemed like a shoe-in. Now Take Two has confirmed that BioShock 2 will be released in fiscal Q4 2009, which is somewhere in between August-October 2009.

Take Two hasn’t set Ken Levine’s 2K Boston (formerly Irrational Games) to work on this one, preferring recently-formed studio 2K Marin. But Mr. Levine “will be working on Bioshock 2 and he will be working on a new IP.” — Via Eurogamer

Update: The new Bioshock 2 release date is November 3rd in America, October 30th in Europe and Australia.
