Mario Kart Wii video from GDC floor shows gameplay footage

Mario Kart Wii box A new Mario Kart Wii trailer taken from the GDC show floor shows gameplay footage from the upcoming Wii racer, which is the latest in the best-selling Mario Kart series, who’s last console release was Mario Kart: Double Dash on the GameCube way back in 2003 (amazingly five whole years ago).

The game sticks to the classic gameplay you know and love but adds bikes, tricks and new power-ups, characters and courses (in addition to a slew of classic courses ala Mario Kart DS), and of course, will support online play via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection including online co-op where two racers on the same system can race online against another team.

Oh yeah I totally agree. Mario Kart Wii looks fun but it’s still Mario Kart, I think the Double Dash two-person cart was a bigger change. But like you Brawl is the game I’m most looking forward too on any system!
