Giveaway: Appleseed EX Machina DVD

Appleseed went from the 1985 science-fiction manga. to 1988′s anime. to the 2004 CGI movie. that Sega made into the movie-based game Appleseed EX. This game in turn leads into the 2007 movie sequel Appleseed EX Machina. Produced by John Woo and directed by Shinji Aramaki, the cyberpunk adventure movie is brought to the west by Warner Bros. on March 11th for DVD, HD DVD and Blu-ray.

To celebrate we’re giving away the Appleseed EX Machina DVD! While it’s a Region 1 DVD that’s meant to play in American or Canadian DVD players, if you’ve got a (region-free) DVD player that can play it, the movie can be shipped worldwide. So everyone can join in on the fun.

What are the rules? All you have to do is leave a comment on this page saying why you want the CGI movie. We’ll pick the person who wants to watch some cool anime the most.

I want the DVD ’cause I’m a huge fan of Ghost in the Shell and everything Masamune Shirow touches.

I’ve seen the first CG movie from 2004 and though it was awesome so I can hardly wait for this one to come around.

Wow this looks great and I’m a huge John Woo fan and movie collector, I’d love to have a shot at this title.

I’d love to havea shot at this title because although I havenever seen the Anime or Manga before, this looks interesting and I love the Cyberpunk types of Anime. Id enjoy watching it especially since its from Masamune Shirow, creator of GitS (one of my favorite animes.)

The series looks like something I could really get into and I think this would be a great way to do so, by seeing a pretty damn good looking movie of it.

I like Anime a lot, and also I like CGI animation in general.Appleseed(1) movie was super awesome, it had great graphics animation and action! I love that movie

also I love John Woo’s movies.

Also, these are not even released here in India so I would very happy getting this thing! Will show it to all my friends who are also CGI freaks like me definitely will be a great addition to my collection!

Would love to be an owner of this, the CGI animation looks devastatingly beautiful. Never actually read into the Appleseed series or played the game, but this might be the chance for me to get into the series. Also Masamune Shirow is a fantastic storyteller, would love to have of copy of his work. Hope you take me into consideration, thanks for the giveaway, bye ^_^

Being a huge fan of Appleseed to begin with, this is one more movie to fathom and embrace with the addition to the collection. I especially love the 3D C.G.I. enveloped with a beautiful 2D element making it original with just the animation.
Not to mention the fact that top directors and producers took part in the production such as John Woo.
I have strong faith in this movie that it will provoke a new genre of anime, an instant classic for inspiration.

I haven’t watched the anime or played the game, but I love the cyber punk genre. It is hard to find anything to the caliber of Ghost in the Shell, and cyberpunk anime usually meets that standard, I would love to win this so I could possibly find another anime to fall in love with.
