[...] SimAnimals is the life-simulation game recently released by Electronic Arts for the Wii and Nintendo DS. Although the title eludes to it being in the line of “The Sims”-people-simulation games that have become insanely popular after the release of The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 and their numerous expansions (with the upcoming The Sims 3 soon to be released), SimAnimals is only loosely tied to the people simulation side of things and is instead an entirely new game which is much more of an animal simulation than you’d get with the The Sims: Unleashed or other “pet” expansions released for The Sims games.
@ Dee: I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, but it took 1 year plus 1 month for MySims to go from Wii to PC. I don't know if it was a success for EA to do that, but if they were to repeat it with SimAnimals (which gets released on Wii today), then I imagine it'll be a long time if they do put it on PC.
