Banjo Kazooie 3/Banjo-Threeie will be released in 2008 says Microsoft

Banjo & Kazooie can't wait to return!Banjo-Kazooie 3 will be released in 2008, likely at the end of the year, says Microsoft.

Microsoft Games Studio head Shane Kim said to MTV, “I’m super-excited about what they’re doing with Banjo’ I think Banjo is going to be a big hit for us this holiday.”

Kim also said that Rare may head back into the realm of M-Rated games, while continuing along the family-friendly track that it’s been going along the past few years.

So what else is Rare up to besides the third outing of bear and bird? Rare is also working on an Xbox Live Arcade vision-cam supported game called The Fast and the Furriest.

Very few details on either game have been released but maybe we’ll learn more at next week’s Game Developer’s Conference.

Till then, check out the original teaser trailer revealing the existence of Banjo Kazooie 3.

Well as long as Microsoft actually support the game with solid advertising and publicity then maybe it will be a success.

I almost have no respect for Rare anymore. Its not a fanboy thing, seriously. I’ve just been so let down by their slow releases of good but totally uninteresting games. I watched a video review for Kameo the other day, it just looks so damn uninteresting.

it should be for wii because nintendo is the home of banjo kazooie

Sorry John, but Rare already gave you Nintendo fans a Banjo game on the GameBoy Advance. I think Microsoft who now owns Rare (although I’m sure you know that) allowed that because Microsoft doesn’t want in on the portable market for now, but they obviously do have consoles, so Banjo Kazooie 3 is definitely an Xbox 360-exclusive.

Daniel, actually Rare’s Viva Pinate is very addictive and extremely pretty if you’re into collectors/building games. While I did not like Perfect Dark Zero much, Kameo I’ve only played a little bit off but that looked great to me. I hope to play through it sometime and review it, I think that might be a hidden gem.

man i wish it came out on the wii.
if it did i would pay $200+ for that game alone. i truely loved it but i hate xbox. im sure many other would also pay that amount as well

banjo-kazooie rules but y should u put it on xbox 360 and i hope it wamba like in banjo-tooie!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop whining about the new Banjo game not being on the Wii. It’s years since the last banjo game was released and you didn’t even notice that Grabbed by the Ghoulies was made by Rare for Xbox and didn’t realize that the next Banjo game just might be on the Xbox/Xbox 360 too. There was even Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero, and Conker Live and Reloaded all for a Microsoft game console so you had enough warning signs that if you actually thought before buying a Wii you would have realized that the next Banjo game would also be on the 360 and not the Wii which by the way has about 4 good games which are Twilight princess, Wii sports, Mario kart Wii, and SSBB(I would know because I have a Wii as well). I’m not saying it’s a stupid choice to buy a Wii but maybe you should think about the Pros andCons of getting a system. And who knows if they are thinking about making it for PC like they did with Halo.

Banjo Kazooie was awesome but of course Microsoft has to screw it up. You spend 80% of the game driving. That’s not Banjo Kazooie and I agree with all of the real BK fans that it should be for Wii not the Suckhole 360. And C1nnoBunS who ever you are, if you are a real BK fan you would want it on the Wii as well. I don’t know why anyone would waste their money on a 360 that currently only has 2 games excluding sports games worth playing and really glitchy slow controlls. Also the games for 360 take longer to load than dialup internet. If Rare really wants sales on this game then they will take it and make a Wii version and do it right! Heck after this game I bet Nintendo could pick up the BK lisence for about $5, Rare already knows it will flop. 360 games are generally $60 each, and they have released the price on this game at $40.

I really hope that Banjo Threeie will come at playstation 3 and nintendo wii too.
Why only on xbox 360?
It doesn’t make any sense! :S
I like the game very much because i have played banjo kazooie and tooie on 64…

bk was one of my fav games when i was little and were’re getting a wii for christmas. One day i was playing the original bk when i thought it would be cool if they made another one. Minutes later i saw there were i was like yes. Then i saw it was for the X-BOX……………what idiots………bk is more of a game that everybody likes and pretty much all xbox games are violent so wtf microsoft let nintendo have one too.
