Professor Layton and the Curious Village for Nintendo DSThere may be plans to release Professor Layton 2 in the U.S. . The game is already out in Japan and is called Professor Layton And The Devil’s Box.

According to the last page of the instruction manual for Professor Layton and the Curious Village on DS (just released yesterday), there is a password feature tucked away in the game that can be unlocked . . . but only by using a passcode from the second game. The instruction manual confirms it by saying that the password “will be revealed in the sequel”.

Hopefully the first game sells enough copies to warrant the release of Professor Layton 2. Come on people, we need more games like this!

The main story in Pandora’s Box revolves around Professor Layton and his young apprentice Luke traveling to meet Layton’s mentor, who has sent them a letter about a mysterious box. Layton’s mentor writes that he wishes to have Layton take care of his information if anything were to happen to him. Professor Layton and Luke rush to the mentor’s home, only to find him killed under mysterious circumstances. From there the pair travel to discover the secrets of the “pandora’s box”.

Check out this trailer for Professor Layton and the Curious Village if you don’t know what the game is about.

By the way, check out this very funny error on Circuit City.com where they accidentally typed “Professor Lipton” (as in Lipton Tea) instead of “Professor Layton”.

It is time this bias of releasing games in Japan first ended! In today’s world it should be made available to all AT THE SAME TIME! The Curious Village was a great game to play and I am sure so will be the sequels. BTW, you don’t have to wait to access the top secret menu in the first game…all you need do is use an Action Replay DS and a code that can be found in the Hand Held section of Kodewerx. Ciao

Professor Layton & Pandoras Box came year 2007 in Japan and Professor Layton & The Last Time Travel came year 2008 in Japan. So, Europe and USA is two steps behind in the Layton Trilogi. Which sucks. I have Professor Layton & Pandoras Box but i can’t understand what im suppose to do and some puzzles are really hard to complete.

I can’t wait till it part 2 comes out. I just got Professor Layton the first one and i fell in love with it. I didn’t think it would be that get, but its fun and i LOVE the story! :)
I think its totally unfair that we have to wait for two years are + to get the second one out. I know it takes time to translate it in english, but 2 years is over doing it!
