Peggle DS confirmed. Peggle on Xbox Live Arcade gets multiplayer
The webgame and PC download game Peggle, which plays like the casual game pachinko, has you aiming a ball that drops and bounces off colored pegs as it falls. As part of iPod games, a port of Peggle for the iPod has already been made and an Xbox Live Arcade port of Peggle is underway as well. So it should be no surprise Peggle is coming to another portable, the Nintendo DS!
Peggle DS was recently confirmed at the Casual Connect conference in Amsterdam by PopCap co-founder John Vechey. He said the port is part of PopCap’s strategy of releasing its games on as many different, yet appropriate, formats as possible, reports Pocketgamer.
To continue our Peggle talk, we’re moving on to the Xbox Live Arcade port enhancements of Peggle. In an interview by Evilavatar, PopCap’s Greg Canessa confirms that the Xbox Live Arcade release will include “online modes and features” including multiplayer.
