Nitrobike video review (Wii)
Nitrobike is a Wii-exclusive arcade-style racing game (released in the USA on January 15th and in Europe on February 8th, 2008) has Players navigate rocket-propelled motorcycles. And you can choose to race against the clock or against worthy opponents in Nitrobike’s multiplayer game mode and 1-6 players online mode. Rocket to Victory: Use the nitro rocket to propel your bike to speeds the Wii has only dreamed of seeing until now. On top of the killer online multiplayer, Nitrobike features 20 turbocharged racing environments and 67 events. Career mode, upgradeable bikes, and lots of unlockable characters that strive to stand out as the most Xtreme of the Xtreme.
High speed motorcross action comes to the Wii, but can the Wii-mote handle it? To find out watch the Nitrobike video review:
To quote the video review: “Racing games haven’t exactly been the Wii’s forte. Excite Truck was a good time with some interesting controls, but as the plastic steering wheel add-ons piled up so did the duds. Enter Nitrobike, and exit Nitrobike as well.
Despite all of its flaws, Nitrobike has one thing going for it: if you blowup 15 times during your career you can unlock crash test bowling. It’s not particularly fun and uses some whacked-out physics, but at least it will keep you from playing the main game. The inconsistencies amongst design and control, drab visuals and ghost town online populace all point to a bad, broken game. It’s simply not worth the effort or the 50 bucks.”
