Mode to unlock more than 40 additional playable swashbucklers. Find a bountiful booty of items, unlock special moves and costumes all in the name of acquiring the ultimate treasure.

Join your favorite band of pirates in this exciting swashbuckling adventure for the Wii. Watch the One Piece: Unlimited Adventure video review:

To quote the video review: “The government says it’s bad to pirate and play games, but what about playing pirate games? In a bid to let players live out their inner buccaneer, Namco Bandai has teamed up with Shonen [show-nen] Jump for One Piece: Unlimited Adventure for the Wii. As the first full-fledged action/adventure based on the manga, does it make good on its promise of adventure on the high seas, or does it belong in Davy Jones’ locker?

Contrary to its namesake, One Piece: Unlimited Adventure is more of a spirited Easter egg hunt than anything else. If you can set your spyglass’ sights past the its simple, derivative nature, Unlimited Adventure isn’t such a bad game for fans. But if it’s a hearty adventure game worth the coin you’re after, you’d be best off saving your pieces of eight for bigger and brighter treasure.”

Mario Kart Wii features 8-player online Battle Modes!

supadupagama February 28th, 2008 Listen to this article "Hey! Listen!"

Mario Kart Wii online Battle Mode screenshot
Mario Kart Wii will allow the classic Battle Modes to be played online with up to 8 players! The above screenshot has revealed this. The online Race Modes allows for up to 12 players, but that would likely be a bit too hectic for the Battle Modes. Mario Kart Wii’s release date in Europe is April 11th and in America it’s April 15th, 2008.

While I’m already sold on the game (no doubt I’ll like one of the five Mario Kart Wii control methods), the only thing I need to know is if the online Battle Mode will include all old maps? Especially Block Fort is required.

In further news, Nintendo has revealed there will be no voice- or text chat during multiplayer. However, “you can create rooms for friends to join and even text chat while you’re waiting for other racers.” But even this before-and-after-playing communication seems limited to a selection of predetermined phrases.

Kind of silly they won’t allow a microphone peripheral on the Wii and support it, especially since they did add voice chat support to Pokemon Diamond and Pearl’s online battle mode. I’ll probably end up using Skype to “talk” to Astro while racing or battling him. — Via Wiifanboy
