Saw game based on horror movie coming to next-gen systems in October 2009

Attention gore fans: Brash Entertainment has announced it has acquired the rights to make a Saw game based on grisly horror movie series Saw.

Underneath an eerie headline of ‘Oh yes.. There will be blood…’ a Brash press release sent out today reveals the title will be released in October 2009 – to coincide with the fifth film in the series coming to cinemas. The title is being developed for next-gen platforms and is being built using Epic’s Unreal 3 game engine.

Brash promises that Saw the video game “will have its own unique storyline, while answering questions left unanswered by the Saw films”. The firm says it is “working closely” with film companies Lions Gate and Twisted pictures, as well as creators of the Saw franchise, Leigh Whannell and James Wan.

I liked his works towards the environment, but I dont think I am a Gore fan

But I did like the saw movies.The first one was great.

I too have heard very good things about the Saw movies and now I can add yours to the list Reteesh.

I too am definitely not a gore fan (especially movie gore which is more realistic and disturbing) so it’ll be interesting to see where they take the video game adaption.

I wonder if it’ll be smartly done like a Silent Hill style or if it’ll just be another crappy video game cash in with pointless buckets of gore.

Ah, SAW first movie is really good, but the thing is that you should 100% watch it with no idea about the other movies.

see it before you accidently see trailers of other movies or something
