Confirmed for Super Smash Bros. Brawl: Luigi, Ganondorf, Captain Falcon, Marth, Falco Lombardi, Mr. Game & Watch, R.O.B. and Young Link

On Thursday, January 31st, in Japan the Wii fighting game Super Smash Bros. Brawl will be released. There will be millions of fans trying to get their hands on the game early, so it’s no surprise now that Japanese stores are receiving their orders for the game from Nintendo, that the game’s street date is broken.

As a result we can now confirm 1 newcomer and 7 veteran Super Smash Bros. characters for Brawl to you! Here are the new characters:

Luigi (from the Mario series)

Ganondorf (from The Legend of Zelda series)

Captain Falcon (from the F-Zero series)

Marth (from the Fire Emblem series)

Falco Lombardi (from the Star Fox series)

Mr. Game & Watch (from the classic Game & Watch series)

R.O.B. (Robotic Operating Buddy, known as Robot in Japan — from the NES games Gyromite & Stack-Up)

Young Link (known as Toon Link in Japan — from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker)

The following character roster from the Japanese version of the game shows all the so-far unveiled Brawl characters, except for the already confirmed Jigglypuff and possible others we don’t know about yet.

Here’s a new gameplay video showing the character and stage select and a battle.

In the Subspace Emissary Marth and Metaknight confront each other and then… team up!?

Actually R.O.B is a pretty good character and i would say that lucario is better than mewtwo. The pokemon trainers pokemon blow pichu out of the water(charizard is ok, not my favourite), I personnally think King Dedede sucks so much ass, Metaknight is frikkin awesome(so is Pitt and the new Falco) but I have yet to play as wolf(seeing as we can’t find out a way to unlock him because of our illiteracy in japanese) but I would say that its much better than the first one.

Well, character wise, I am sure everyone is VERY disapointed, we made such a massive leap (character wise) from the original smash to melee, I guess we just set our standerds to high. But seriosly, how hard would’ve it had been to make a final smash for Roy, Pichu, Dr. Mario, and Mewtwo? I told everyone whom I discussed this with prevoius to our current info that they should not have worried, Nintendo will keep all their prevoius character, we have nothing to worry about. Well I was wrong. They sure added a lot of pointless stuff like, stickers, and trophies, (which are pointless to the game accept some power ups and decorations?!) I would’ve wanted more characters, and less boards and modes. >.> -Jesse

What’s so great about this game anyway? I want all of you to intrigue me to play this game in 20 words or less. If you can’t or refuse, than I prove my point and this game sucks, but if you can, I might consider it.

Crap! today i don’t care if the game is on sale next month because my baby brother broke my TV!
Now i have to make more money to get a least a cheaper one so i can have leftover money because i still didn’t get my Nintendo Wii!

ROB sucks, No he does not, cause he looks cool and battles as well as anyone.

Why no Pichu, Pichu is weaker then picachu and hurts his freakin self when he attacks.

There are to many clones, only ganon is a clone. everyone has at least a few moves where they do something different.

My brother broke my TV set, Oh well…

Why can’t we have it earlier, Becasue in Japan they started before us and the US wants to have something not just a copy translated.
