Confirmed for Super Smash Bros. Brawl: Luigi, Ganondorf, Captain Falcon, Marth, Falco Lombardi, Mr. Game & Watch, R.O.B. and Young Link

On Thursday, January 31st, in Japan the Wii fighting game Super Smash Bros. Brawl will be released. There will be millions of fans trying to get their hands on the game early, so it’s no surprise now that Japanese stores are receiving their orders for the game from Nintendo, that the game’s street date is broken.

As a result we can now confirm 1 newcomer and 7 veteran Super Smash Bros. characters for Brawl to you! Here are the new characters:

Luigi (from the Mario series)

Ganondorf (from The Legend of Zelda series)

Captain Falcon (from the F-Zero series)

Marth (from the Fire Emblem series)

Falco Lombardi (from the Star Fox series)

Mr. Game & Watch (from the classic Game & Watch series)

R.O.B. (Robotic Operating Buddy, known as Robot in Japan — from the NES games Gyromite & Stack-Up)

Young Link (known as Toon Link in Japan — from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker)

The following character roster from the Japanese version of the game shows all the so-far unveiled Brawl characters, except for the already confirmed Jigglypuff and possible others we don’t know about yet.

Here’s a new gameplay video showing the character and stage select and a battle.

In the Subspace Emissary Marth and Metaknight confront each other and then… team up!?

Can anyone explain why the characters from the “complete” roster are in a different order than they are in the video roster?

The “complete” roster follows the logistics that nintendo has used in the past about its organization of characters by franchise (they did this in melee) however they never changed the orders per se, just added boxes to the sides and bottom.

Also, ROB was in the subspace emisary section but there were multiples of him and he was listed as part of the subspace army, which, there are no multiples of any of the other characters and no other characters appear in that section.

Anyway, not accusing you guys of posting fakes on purpose or anything, but I’m skeptical of the roster pic. Everything else looks cool.

they have to add wolf. it would be nice if they did.
i didnt expect that rob would be in the game. and i saw pic that bomberman is in the game and there should be a ssbb demo for us cause of all the delay

Sly: I think the orders are different because the pictures and videos are from different people who haven’t all unlocked as many characters as eachother yet.

Richard: I’m guessing Bomberman was a fake picture, where did you see that? You have to be careful because there are still lots of fake pictures around. I hope tomorrow we’ll get to see the full roster so no one can be fooled by fake characters anymore.

can anybody explain how if u beat story mode with a character how will the screen be if u got to fight a new character to win
