Confirmed for Super Smash Bros. Brawl: Luigi, Ganondorf, Captain Falcon, Marth, Falco Lombardi, Mr. Game & Watch, R.O.B. and Young Link

On Thursday, January 31st, in Japan the Wii fighting game Super Smash Bros. Brawl will be released. There will be millions of fans trying to get their hands on the game early, so it’s no surprise now that Japanese stores are receiving their orders for the game from Nintendo, that the game’s street date is broken.

As a result we can now confirm 1 newcomer and 7 veteran Super Smash Bros. characters for Brawl to you! Here are the new characters:

Luigi (from the Mario series)

Ganondorf (from The Legend of Zelda series)

Captain Falcon (from the F-Zero series)

Marth (from the Fire Emblem series)

Falco Lombardi (from the Star Fox series)

Mr. Game & Watch (from the classic Game & Watch series)

R.O.B. (Robotic Operating Buddy, known as Robot in Japan — from the NES games Gyromite & Stack-Up)

Young Link (known as Toon Link in Japan — from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker)

The following character roster from the Japanese version of the game shows all the so-far unveiled Brawl characters, except for the already confirmed Jigglypuff and possible others we don’t know about yet.

Here’s a new gameplay video showing the character and stage select and a battle.

In the Subspace Emissary Marth and Metaknight confront each other and then… team up!?

Yeah but i still feel like i’m just dreaming after a long waiting for the game
And i feel bad for the other regions because i have a very bad feeling that everything in the game is going to be just the same as the Japanese version of the game.
And that would be STUPID

Besides, i’m short by $35.00 or $40.00 to get the Wii so i MIGHT get it tomorrow.

i thought i wouldn’t have my wii till after i got brawl, but i got it and played it about 2 mins after it came out at Gamestop! go me!
people tyrying to find a wii? my mom found mine at Super Wal Mart! Good Luck!

Just call everywhere and see if they have a wii! Thats what i did, also ask if they have any that people have reserved and ask when the deadline for them to pick it up is. thats how I got mine, I called circuit city and they said they had 3 but they were reserved but their deadline to pick them up were later that afternoon so I went straight there and got one that wasnt picked up

I got my wii 2 months ago and I just got Zelda TP when brawl came out in america and I have just clocked it with 16 hours of game play . I really want brawl but it doesn’t get to me intill 22nd of may

Well yeah but guess what, the Nintendo Wii is starting to be the HARDEST system to find. And because of that, not only i’ll hardly find it, but if any salesmen have one, they’ll charge $379.00 for it.
Yesterday i called Best Buy and they told me that they’ll it on Saturday so hopefully i’ll get it tomorrow like i’ve been saying too much.
