On Thursday, January 31st, in Japan the Wii fighting game Super Smash Bros. Brawl will be released. There will be millions of fans trying to get their hands on the game early, so it’s no surprise now that Japanese stores are receiving their orders for the game from Nintendo, that the game’s street date is broken.

As a result we can now confirm 1 newcomer and 7 veteran Super Smash Bros. characters for Brawl to you! Here are the new characters:

Luigi (from the Mario series)

Ganondorf (from The Legend of Zelda series)
Ganondorf in Super Smash Bros Brawl

Captain Falcon (from the F-Zero series)

Marth (from the Fire Emblem series)

Falco Lombardi (from the Star Fox series)
Falco Lombardi in Super Smash Bros Brawl

Mr. Game & Watch (from the classic Game & Watch series)
Mr Game and Watch in Super Smash Bros Brawl

R.O.B. (Robotic Operating Buddy, known as Robot in Japan — from the NES games Gyromite & Stack-Up)
ROB in Super Smash Bros Brawl

Young Link (known as Toon Link in Japan — from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker)

The following character roster from the Japanese version of the game shows all the so-far unveiled Brawl characters, except for the already confirmed Jigglypuff and possible others we don’t know about yet.

Here’s a new gameplay video showing the character and stage select and a battle.

In the Subspace Emissary Marth and Metaknight confront each other and then… team up!?

Brawl is coming out in America and Canada tomorrow and I’m getting Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess also . I’m so Excited for both things even though I can’t get Brawl till May 22nd.

andyways, i like what they did with Link though

and overall, it looks like an awesome game. i really like marth in ssbm hope he’s cool in ssbb too im glad they took roy off, he’s the samething as marth actually, that’s the case with almost all the chars in ssbm x)

anyways, they put some chars ive been wanting them to put since i first played ssb and then some new ones that came up about the time of ssbm x)

Todays the release date in the u.s. and i am playing as link in my first charcter and im going to complete calssic mode with everyone i really think that marth doesnt deserve to be there as roy’s attacks are stronger plus he is much cooler. Im happy about the toon link in as i have just recently beaten phantom hourglass for ds and hes pretty cool. I was pretty good in mellee so im prob gonna use the gc controller. Now the characters im happpy to see are pokemon trainer, lucario(as i ama a big poke fan), ike, and pit. GO SUPER SMASH BROS. BRAWL!!!!!!!
