Grand Theft Auto IV final release date is April 29th, 2008

Niko shoots for April 29th GTA IV
Rockstar Games announce the release date for Grand Theft Auto IV, the new title in the genre-defining Grand Theft Auto franchise. Developed by Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto IV will be simultaneously available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles and will be in stores worldwide on April 29th, 2008.

“We are so excited to be releasing Grand Theft Auto IV,” said Sam Houser, Founder and Executive Producer of Rockstar Games. “We’ve pushed ourselves very hard to make something incredible and hope the game sets a new benchmark for interactive entertainment.”

*Looks at GTA IV picture* I guess you could say Niko’s shooting for an April 29 release! Zing! Eh? Eh? Yeah! :D

Funny, 3 GTA games released in the time since Maxis first announced Spore. Hell, is it just me, or would the world be better if Rockstar took over on development of games for other companies? I’m beginning to think the world would be better off. :grin:

It might be, but I doubt many companies have the huge budget Rockstar has to finish a guaranteed million-seller like GTA.

Awesome news, much earlier than I was expecting. Although its not going to make me buy my PS3 any quicker though, I still want the price to drop first and hopefully a new (white) colour to be released.

this is very cool. I recently bought gta4 and think its the best game rockstar can ever publish, also i like the websites where you can get cheats and advice. My family even played it and think its the best game ever. You guys are so helpful and keep up the good work.
